We Are Still So Early

I think the longer you are involved in Crypto the harder it is to fathom how early we really are. Personally having been around Crypto for 54 months you would think that in that time we would have seen more adoption happening.

The reality is that adoption is happening all the time around us and as we are part of it yet we don't tend to recognise this fact. This is a bit like watching someone you see often ageing compared to someone you haven't seen for 10 years as then it is clearly obvious. Same as in Crypto the landscape is for ever changing and we just adapt to whatever changes happen not making a big deal of it.

The one thing I am certain about is mass adoption regarding Crypto will happen at some point, but who knows exactly when that might be. Crypto is regarded as a disruptive technology so in the early days there were more enemies than allies which created a cloud of negativity over the entire Crypto world. Thankfully that is one of the obvious signs we can see adoption taking place as there is far less FUD happening today compared to 2 or 3 years ago.

If we use a Blockchain like Cardano (2017) as an example as they have been around for what seems like forever, but haven't achieved that much. Development takes time along with gaining traction and some Crypto projects are faster at achieving their results.

Cardano has 1082 projects building on the Blockchain currently which is a staggering figure. This is the type of development that boggles the mind as those types of numbers are large and will impact not only Cardano but Crypto in general.

Where we are on the mass adoption chart doesn't really matter as when we realise the growth through development that is constantly happening it is only a matter of when and not if. The if could have been implied way back in 2010 when Bitcoin started this new digital currency revolution, but now we are so far down the road digital currencies are happening.

The future for the early adopters is looking brighter each month that passes as the recognition of what is being built is starting to happen. Having every day use cases is still paramount for a tokens success even though we may not think so with "projects" like LUNC flooding social media. The bigger picture is far beyond those projects as Crypto will change how everyone thinks and lives in the future as it will touch everyone's lives in some way.
