Mr Peter was taking a walk on the street late at night. He was shocked how everything in his hometown has changed over the past few years he traveled to the city. He was living in a small house before, now he is living in a mansion that he designed. He is a scientist and everybody respects him in his hometown. He was remembering his childhood memories as he passes a fuel station. It was there he remembered the heartbreak the girl he loves so much caused him. He was planning to build a future with the girl, when the girl turn the proposal down, that she meant nothing to him. Those words hurt Peter for the past few years and he interested in the girl. This rejection really affected academically, which he nearly failed at High school. This made Peter to vow never to be in love or relationship with any girl.
Peter focused in his scientist work and spent all his time studying. He made lot of money and was among the richest in his hometown. Sometimes he thinks about the things he and Helen would have done together.

This story tells us about Peter, his frustrated love and his professional success. The point you make in the story is well-taken. The loss of his love caused him to work harder, and therefore in a way benefited him. Despite this success, however, the loss of love is something Peter will always regret.

This brief description of Peter was tantalizing. As readers, we would have liked to know more. You can develop this theme and really get our attention. I would love to read that story.

Thank you for posting this story in the Ink Well community. Keep writing!
