New Year brings New Levels of Volatility: Bitcoin & BVOL7D [EN/DE]

Firstly, I hope you all had wonderful holidays and an amazing start to the new year, my happy greetings to every for the new year 2023. Unlike some of the last years, the bitcoin price action hardly saw any movement on the new years eve. However, something interesting is building on its volatility index.

The volatility index BVOL7D has crossed one of the lowest level of 2.75. Observe the numerical marked up moves on the volatility chart in association with the BTCUSDT chart. More often than not, BVOL7D and BTCUSDT move inversely, i.e. when BVOL7D rises, BTCUSDT drops and vice versa.

In the charts, except (1) and (3), every rise in BVOL7D has lead to a significant drop in the bitcoin price. The level marked with (2) is the infamous corona crash. We are currently standing at (5), which looks very similar to (0). We all know what happened at (0) or rather what happened after (0). All of our favorite coins were available at a huge discount. 😉

I am using TradingView to setup my alerts to get back in the market from some nice discount. Would love to hear your analysis. 😇
