My Handball Career 2022/2023 #8

This week was a complicated week for me. I needed to go to Lisbon during two days due to work meetings and this make me miss one training.
I trained on Thursday, and it was a good game. However, on Friday I had a lot of pain in my knees and my coach and I decided to not participate in the training to try to not get worse and be able to play on Saturday.

This should be an easy game, but with all the injuries and sick players could be a loose.

We started too bad, losing by 1-5. We are missing a lot of opportunities, shooting at the goalposts.
Even though I was defending a lot of Académico FC shots, we didn't score.

They ended up managing to score a few shots, and we ended up reaching the break losing by 12-13. Taking into account what happened in the first half, I can say that the result was bad because we were losing, but it could be much worse.

In the second half, we managed to turn the game around as we greatly improved our effectiveness and only managed to concede 3 goals in 15 minutes.
We got a 6-goal advantage, but instead of being able to increase that advantage, we ended up conceding a few goals, ending the game with the score 26-23.

The best part of this game was returning to win games.

Classification

We continue inside the qualification spots.

Next weekend we will play against AD Godim (last place) and I hope we do an amazing game without having to suffer until the end.

Honestly, training calls for improvement in anything one does especially in sports. Good to hear how your team was able to improve in the second half. My major fear about sports is not even to talk about handball injuries but I love sports more than any other game.

Fortunately, we managed to improve in the second half and managed to win the game.

Injuries, unfortunately, are a part of any sport, I've had a few like, for example, torn meniscus, sprained feet, swollen fingers from hitting the pole with my hand. But we, as sports practitioners, know that they exist, and we have to know how to live with them.

If you like to read about handball, you can follow my sports posts because I write a week update about my season progress.
