Nice goodies that I found in Scarllet supermarket

Last night, I checked out the Scarllet supermarket to see what interesting snacks do they offer. Scarllet is a supermarket from China that started building a network of branches here in Singapore. Right now, there are 25 outlets which is a lot considering that this country is small in terms of land area. But if I’m to compare to this number of outlets to what NTUC Fairprice has then it’s relatively small. Right now, Fairprice has 370 outlets which means there are outlets in every corner of the country.

The things that I find in Fairprice are all of the usual ones that everyone need in their household. While the snacks section offers mainly local Singapore brands, Malaysia, and Western brands. It’s all good however, the uniqueness and creativity of Chinese brands can’t be ignored too hence there’s a dedicated supermarket that offers a different variety of snacks. Scarllet is trying to capitalize on that void in market.

I found plenty of food and goodies that I’ve never seen in any other supermarket brands. Here are a few that caught my eyes.

I can’t read Chinese characters but what I see is that it’s a pastry that is filled with dried candied mango. This is the kind of goodies that I want. And it’s also similar to a Malay sweet treat that is famous here in Singapore, the Pineapple Tart.

There are other candied dried fruits that looks good as well. The ones that I like are the grapes and plums. I think that the packing are nice too.

Not everything is sweet. There are savory & spicy snacks as well. The spicy fish skin looks so good as well.

I think this is going to be one of the best supermarket to buy snacks. It looks good, unique, and the prices are affordable as well.

It’s so cool that they managed to put these mini cakes made or filled with green bean while the others are taro. I like both of these flavors.
