Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

It's Saturday once again, and that means Caturday, my favorite day of the week! Time to share those pictures of your favorite feline friends!

Good Intentions...

Last week I mentioned that I wanted to start a more regular posting routine, in hopes of making my intended goals on Hive for this year.

Whereas I got off to a good start, I ended up where we cats often do... napping in the sun was just more alluring than than catblogging!

I suppose I'll just take it easier from this point on and just go with the flow!

Forest Fires Already?

I heard the Hoomans talking about fires, and evidently there are already some large forest fires burning to the north of us in Canada... thankfully our air remains very clear and clean, and I hope it stays that way.

In past summers we have had air so grimy and smoky that all the windows had to be closed and the Hoomans set up air filters inside the house!

I don't like it when the air gets like that because I love to nap in front of the open windows in the summer.

LeoFinance Excitement

The "new" LeoFinance has been up and running for a bit now, and folks seem pretty excited about it.

I'm sure quite a bit of the excitement is related to the challenges and big prizes in the offing... that's definitely cool, but there are still a lot of kinks to be worked out there. As a primarily "long form" blogger, it seems like posts pretty much get lost and sadly must confess that I miss the old interface from a content discovery and engagement perspective.

Of course I am also perfectly well aware that Twitter is about conversation not content, so if the microblogging format is in your wheelhouse, it's a great deal.

Meanwhile, I'll continue to use PeakD to navigate... when I need to!

More Crypto Sideways...

Looks like the Cryptosphere continues its sideways trend... we're busy going nowhere.

And if past summers are anything to go by, I doubt there's anything different ahead, at least for a while. I'd love to be wrong about that, of course...

In the meantime I'll just continue to build my little presence here!

Footnote From Smudge!

My fuzzy housemate Smudge is doing well, and finally allowed the Dad-Hooman to take her picture after getting her spring haircut!

For a while there, she looked like a strange miniature lion...

She's doing well though, and has now been with us for about 18 months!

I don't think her original Hooman (who moved to the Dominican Republic) thought she was going to live this long... but she's in good health and recently had her 16th birthday. And that's an impressive age for a cat!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
