Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

It's a "long weekend" here in the USA — I guess what's known as a "bank holiday weekend" in some parts of the world — and this weekend is also Father's Day.

Of course, the main thing of interest for me is that today is CATURDAY, my favorite day of the week!

Sadly, it is a slightly uneasy Caturday this week as we have a lovely houseguest staying this weekend, but unfortunately she has her DOG with her... the horror!

I'm sure it's a very nice dog, but I'm told this one is a cat chaser, and that simply will not do! So I am basically "in hiding" until they leave again on Monday...

I suppose a lot of us are a bit worried about what's happening in the Cryptosphere, as well as in the broader financial markets and the economy, in general.

Although I primarily just want to know that there's still a reliable supply of cat food and Hoomans to serve it to me, it's still a little depressing to see so much "value" being evaporated, like morning mist before the sun.

Makes me wonder whether this is all simply a reflection that there really isn't any "value," at all?

Of course, who even knows what "value" is? A can of cat food has risen in price from 79 cents to $1.29, just since the New Year. Did cat food suddenly become more "valuable?" I don't think so... it still represents "one meal."

Anyway, whereas the temptation might be to step away from all this, I think I'm just going to keep on plugging away at my cat blog here... which had a "value" in excess of $4,000 at the turn of the New Year, and now is about $800.

I don't write this because I am crying in my kibble, but to offer a contrast vs. the price of a can of cat food... a radical swing between one value and a different value.

Smudge, our wise and sweet old lady kitty, thinks we're all taking it far too seriously!

She's old enough to have experienced many of life's ups and downs, and realizes that you just have to "keep on keepin' on," and as long as we all have each other we will all be fine, in the long run.

Those are probably good words to keep in mind!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
