Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

The Hoomans have put away the final remnants of Christmas; the big tree with all the glittery dangling objects is gone (sigh) and now we are settling into just plain old winter.

Sleeping my days away...

This is the time of the year where I mostly just want to hibernate, even though we cats don't formally do such a thing.

The next best thing is to find nice warm spots and to sleep a lot... I even curl up with our dog Daisy, sometimes, because she's nice and warm!

Yes, cats and dogs can be friends!

Smudge isn't yet comfortable enough to snuggle up with Daisy, but she's very good at keeping warm on her fuzzy gray blanket.

One of the things we are learning is that tortoiseshell cats are extremely well camouflaged, from nature's side!

Sometimes, one of us will walk right by Smudge, and not even notice that someone is there!

Winters Are for Creativity!

The Hoomans are getting into their creative projects for winter, as they typically do.

This year, the Mom-Hooman is working on something she calls a "Tarot Deck" which she's hoping to have ready for some time in the late spring or early summer.

It's evidently very exciting for her because she's been using the Tarot since she was 12 years old, and creating her own deck is the culmination of 40 years' worth of learning.

I help her by periodically inspecting the pretty pictures on the screen, and otherwise sleeping nearby... just in case I'm needed!

Meanwhile, the Dad-Hooman is doing his painting work on all those little stones of his.

I like it when he does that, because his work lamp is nice and warm, and I can lie under it when he isn't working... and when he IS working, as well. He's pretty good at adapting his designs to include a little cat hair!

I like the small stones best, because they are fun to bat around the house, when he's not looking. I don't know why he gets so fired up when I have been in his workspace! I'm only trying to HELP... those stones should all be tested before they are shipped to customers!

Cryptosphere Jitters?

I suppose a lot of us feel a little jittery, watching Bitcoin and the greater Cryptosphere gyrate rather wildly in recent weeks.

Seems you Hoomans have very short memories!

Doesn't this sort of thing happen quite regularly? Maybe we're just a little bit more "invested" these days, because the price of Hive is more than a dollar, rather than just 20 cents or less!

All in all, I think it's pretty cool that we have the opportunity to be rewarded for all this... at all! I posted lots of kitten pictures online when I was really tiny, and never got anything more than a few "thumbs up" symbols and smiley faces from people!

Meanwhile, there are exciting times ahead! We just had the airdrop "snapshots" for both the SPK Network, and the Ragnarok game! Still have to figure out exactly what that means...

And now... I return to my naptime!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
