Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

Guess what? It's Saturday and that means it's my favorite day of the week: Caturday! Of course, I must hasten to point out that the Hoomans around here do a very good job of making sure that it feels like every day is Caturday.

Summertime!

Today also happens to be the first Caturday of the summer season, which officially started earlier this week. Surprisingly enough, we were actually having some genuine summer weather to mark that occasion.

After such a long cold and rainy winter and spring the sun is very welcome and I have been spending the last few days sleeping in various sunny spots around the house.

The Hoomans are also cleaning up outside on the upstairs deck... which means soon they will be sitting out there in the afternoons and evenings and I get to come out and explore.

As you might remember, I don't get to go outside on my own because we have a lot of predators in our neighborhood, ranging from eagles to coyotes to bobcats and even an occasional bear.

A Bit More Crypto Stability?

In different news, it seems like things have quieted down just a little bit in the crypto and financial markets this past week after the previous wild gyrations.

At least the Hoomans are no longer on edge and gnashing their teeth!

Naturally, I'm not going to go so far as to speculate whether the current craziness is over… seems like this thing we're part of is typically very unpredictable.

The humans have been reminding me — and each other — that we are part of this Hive experience for the long run, so worrying about what happens in the next few weeks in the life of an investment you're not planning to do anything with for another 5 to 10 years is probably not the best thing to use your energy on.

As a naturally somewhat lazy cat, I'm all in favor of not wasting energy!

Goals, And Looking Forward…

At the beginning of the year I had vague ambitions of maybe advancing my little account to 5,000 Hive power before the end of 2022. However, given the way things have been going, I'm thinking it might be wise to revise that rather ambitious goal downwards a bit… I think I'd be quite satisfied to reach 3,500HP.

Time will tell, of course, and we should never say never. Overall, it remains my ambition to become "The cat who became a dolphin!"

Smudge remains in good health and it's now been with us for eight months. She has really settled in quite well, and has proven that our concerns that an elderly cat would find it difficult to settle into new surroundings were pretty much unfounded.

But you never really know what's going to happen when you introduce an elderly cat into an established household. Regardless, we are very happy she has become part of our family!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
