Becoming a store manager without being a store manager.

Becoming a store manager without being a store manager.

Well. So I "just" work in a store as an Assistent Manager and is continiously learning more advanced stuff. Just to mention: We are fairly busy having a standard of 150 people through our small store from 7-8 in the morning and the again the same amount between 8-9 in the morning with only 3 employees at work and only 2 registers avaliable.

But my Store Manager aka a Friend of mine (we went to school together) is currently on sick leave with stress and we ofc. dont know when he will be back.
So we are right now planning 2 weeks ahead and when we come to the end of the 2 weeks, we will see how far ahead we/I will have to plan for. Hopefully he is back on his feet by that time, but its stress. So you really never know right? :/

The "fun" part is that I really don't want to be a Store Manager or anything more than I am now, but sometimes you just gotta step up.
I am stepping up because he is my friend and not because of a big chain who pays their employees as little as they can x)

All in all. Its free experience, so why not step up and do the best job I can :D

It's stress, so you really never know how long it will take.

Free experience is a good opportunity to step up the game. Stepping up by paying for the experience is not always an option. So enjoy 😉

Well that is true, I had a similar experience with a co-worker as well and they just never seem to return at the end of the day!

You got it bro, learning along the way and stepping up when needed could go a long way with building up those valuable experience! 💪

IF you got 20 or 30 years of crapitalism ahead of you, might as well be a boss.
They may ask you for large chunks of your soul, but you live a more comfortable life.
The more providence you demonstrate, the sooner you can escape wage slavery.
Being a corporate drone until something better comes along beats living under a bridge, most days.

Boss = Responsibility and in the line of work I do, it means be avaliable 24/7 if employees call you and I don't that kind of stress.
Right now, they can only call me once every second weekend since thats my weekend right.
But they can call the boss 24/7, so fuck that shit.

I would rather take the money and do something with it instead of buying into liabilities x)
