Getting old, fat and tired.

Getting old, fat and tired

I am a little bit tired of seeing myself "rotting" away. I don't really might getting older, but I do might taking on extra pounds just from poor diet and no workouts.
I do use the word fat. I weight around 120-130 pound, so I am not that heavy, but I am also short and most of it is still fat.
So if I don't lose weight, but build more muscle, thats also good for me.
Which also just makes me more tired, like use energy to create energy right?

So when I sit on my fat ass and just play video, I am moving the energy in the wrong direction.
So I will try again and again to regain what I need to live more healthly and not continue down the same path as my parents.
I love them, but they living style isn't healthly and no matter how much I talk to them about it, it just doesn't click for them and is that because I kinda preach what I don't do myself?

At least I have the drive to try and change things still :P

This process looks like this in the beginning.

  • Track Calories and try and stay around 2k daily.
  • Do a few push ups to start (I do also walk around 25k a day from work)
  • No more sodas or anything unnecessary (I was good at this before my vacation :P)

It might be a bit easier since I will also be saving money, so I can use that money to invest or paydown my loan, which is another angle to take while living better.

Honestly, just a random rant about me putting on weight.

We can't do anything about getting older but a little bit of discipline can help with the other two things to help make you feel, well, less old :D

And thats the plan :P

Before my vacation last week, I just felt tired all of the time when I woke up. I don't want to feel like that at all, all the time.
So ye, I need to make an effort xD

I know that one, fatigue is a real bastard - exercise is a good way to counter it and get in to a routine so that your body clock doesn't get all out of kilter. I'm reading a book about sleep science now - it's pretty fascinating!

Ye. Its not normal for me, so I want to nip it in the butt before it becomes normal ^^

Whats the book you are reading?

Great to be proactive about it and kill the fatigue before it breeds!

It's a book called "Life Time" by a sleep scientist called Russel Foster - it's about 450 pages but presents all the research done on sleep science in the last few decades as research in this field has been growing.

Exactly and every step in the right direction is good! Even if its a bumpy ride :P

Well. I have seen so much about sleep since I have always had trouble with sleep x)
Its much better now than it have never been, but not to say it couldn't become better! :D

One thing I could do when it comes to better sleep is stay offline 2 hours before going to bed, but wtf am I going to do in this modern tech-world xD - Besides read, meditate, breahwork or shadow-work and so on and so far :p

Yeah that's a common theme I've seen but I don't think it needs to be as long as 2 hours, maybe 30-45 minutes before you go to bed, go offline and let your brain activity quieten down. Online is ridiculously high paced and not what we should be doing a few seconds before trying to sleep!

brain activity quieten down

I got adhd, so this is not a thing :P

I think the science says 2 hours, which is long and properly why a lot of people don't do it x)
