Jazz is an artistic-musical manifestation originating from communities in New Orleans in the United States. It emerged at the end of the 19th century in the region of New Orleans, originating from the popular culture and creativity of the black communities that lived there.

This way of making music incorporated blue notes, syncopated form, polyrhythm, improvisation and ragtime swing notes. The basic musical instruments for Jazz are those used in marching bands and dance bands: brass, picks and drums.
