These 2 things are very important yet often trivialized things in crypto. They are even suspecting an inside job. The good news is that these large exchanges only hold a small amount of funds in hot wallets. Most funds are in cold storage. The big players probably also have a large enough "rainy day fund" to cover the losses of the customers. But it;s good to have the constant reminder.
