Museum for oldtimers and technology in Bernkastel-Kues
Hello everyone.
There are many beautiful old towns in the area where I live, such as Bernkastel-Kues. This city is also a health resort.
Bernkastel-Kues is a place that I love very much and that has a special place in my life. I have so many memories of this place. Because there is something for everyone here.
I have wanted to visit the Museum for Oldtimers and Technology in Bernkastel-Kues for some time. I don't know how I left yesterday morning either.
The city of Bernkastel-Kues belongs to the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, a wonderful health resort on the Moselle.
“The VW belonged to a doctor from Carinthia who died in 2016. He was part of Falco's circle of friends and privately in the Viennese music scene. One of the doctor's nephews is acquainted with one of my nephews, who probably told him about my passion for collecting vintage cars. This is how the contact came about. He reported about the Beetle, which was only left in the garage after being damaged in an accident.
I bought the car and had it completely restored. Incidentally, the nephew mentioned that his uncle once told him that the convertible was said to have appeared in a Falco video. That made it exciting. Because of the type certificate, we had the license plate, we were able to follow up on this information and check it. The nephew then watched all of Falco's videos on YouTube for two nights and finally discovered the beetle in the video "Jeannie Part 2".

VW Bulli T1
VW Type 2 T1, also known as Bulli, all parts were designed to be removable in order to offer a combination of work equipment and recreational vehicle RV. The camper vans had a fold-down back seat for two beds, a water tank and several cupboards.
This gas station photo reminds me of the three from the gas station is a German sound film operetta from the year 1930.
The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday is closed.
Admission costs adults 13.50eur. Children 9eur.
The cylinder house museum for oldtimers and technology is already a jewel from the outside. Inside it is lovingly designed down to the last detail. Great cars, models and entire shops with equipment in the respective age. Three floors of cars, motorcycles, models, and contemporary props are well worth a trip. There are also televisions with films and advertisements from past decades. The building is handicapped accessible with a large elevator. The parking spaces are free.
