"The Sacred Coffee"

7 years ago walking through a forest hiking in the mountains, in the area of Miranda State, Venezuela. A group of friends and I met a very wise old man who had a huge house inside the mountain, this man sheltered us in his home because a heavy rain was falling and we really had to protect ourselves, he invited us in, he gave us coats and socks to put our clothes to dry, it was a very comfortable and safe house.
He lit the fireplace and at nightfall we sat around it, ate chicken and fried pork, laughed, drank coffee and told stories.

This gentleman who received us sat at the end of the larger armchair and said, "I am going to tell you a very good story:
I am going to tell you a very good story, pay attention.
The gentleman began by saying that we had to walk for many hours before reaching this sacred café.
I was immediately shocked and said: I must listen carefully because I want to get to where that coffee is and try it.

The gentleman continued saying that he was walking towards the highest mountain and every time there was a strong breeze there was a great smell of coffee, that as they walked and approached the mountain they saw coffee beans, and those beans are also magical but my ancestors always recommend not to touch them or steal them because they are part of the blessed mountain.

At that point he falls silent and says wait a minute! Remember that this story comes from many years ago from people who were religious and believers and who turned tea into a sacred drink. They left a coffee pot, seven cups, seven saucers, a coffee pot made of bush wood and just behind that stone with implements created by nature, there was a trickle of water with which the coffee had to be prepared.
The story goes that you cannot take any of the implements with you but you can prepare your coffee, serve it in cups and drink it all at the same time making a wish so that in the next years of your life this wish will come true.

Many people say they are surprised or surprised because when they taste coffee it is sweet and delicious as if you were preparing it at home. And that is where they say that coffee can be so sweet if there is no processed sugar in the mountain or any chemical additive.
There is written on a stone the following text:
"If you are here in front of this stone, reading this is because you have walked and put great effort to get here, the wish you ask with faith will be granted on a special day for you. You just give yourself of the small details of life and of what is really necessary in your life. Walk, eat, laugh, be happy."
After drinking the coffee you feel your body warm as if you were in a hot shower and that helps your body to walk back on that cold mountain.

After walking in the mountain, listening to that story and tasting that sacred coffee. The return to my home was of pure gratitude, of being thankful for the fresh air every morning.
That gentleman in the story no one remembers, and then reading the news I was doubly shocked because he said:
"The one who truly believes, sees, feels and transmits unimaginable things."
The man who told the story died more than 50 years ago....

Oh my God!
What is going on in my mind!

A story about coffee full of gratitude and peace, I love that, because most human beings today believe that they deserve everything just because and forget to give thanks for the simple things and also to those who at some point reached out to them, it is even a matter of education.

Education and values are something we must take care of and maintain in society. Being grateful in the world will make us better people.

Sounds like you met a ghost. Certainly brings new meaning to the term "ghost story."

I wanted to give it a different ending... And I really liked the story because it flowed by itself. Without much effort.

Fair play to the ghost for giving you coffee. 😂
He must have been a friendly one.

Very friendly... You have to be afraid of the living, my grandfather used to say.
