Beating the hot dry season, Our summer escapade in the Island of Sag

Who's up for beachin'? Hello, everyone! Hello Hivers! How you all doing today? Today i'm sharing my quick visit to an island. Hello SUMMER! - It's the time of the year where we experience dry season and the hot temperature seems to reach at its peak this time. It's really hot in here right now. But that didn't stop us from going to the beach.

Everyone, welcome to the Island of Sag. Sag is an island and one of the barangays located in Talibon, Bohol. The word 'sag', in English name and the translation means, 'NEST'. Because they believe that the island is shaped like a nest. It does look like a nest on an aerial view. But, funny thing is, they don't have much birds in there.

The means of transportation is through bangkas, (small boats) or pumpboats. You can either pay to ride passenger boats or just ask the residents for a ride to get there for free.

The first time I been here, I was so amaze! Being a beach kind of gal, this place is so right for me. The place is so quite and the locals greet strangers with a smile. My heart really is relax when i look at the beach. This is just one of the few islands in the town of Talibon. Peoples' number one source of income is fishing. So, buying fish here you can assure it's fresh! Not just fish but also shells, crabs and yummy seaweeds is also present. The other side of the island is where the peoples houses located, and on the other side, there are mangrove forest stretching to the end of the island.

The water is so clear you can see the wonders of the sea below. When it is low tide, you can always collect shells and cook it for later. The sea provides so, finding viands is not an issue here, as long as you're not choosy and you enjoy walking on the beach.

So later that day we take a dip to the cold sea water. A simple food and get together makes the swimming more memorable specially when the kids enjoys. We were so indulged that we didn't realize we were so sunburned. :)

The sea and all what's in there is free! So, it's our duty and responsibility to take good care of it in return.
