My 50th Instacart paycheck 💸 🛒

The start of 2024 is here and as always my Instacart work continues. Let's see how 2024 is treating me so far.

Monday, January 1st

I took off to enjoy the New Year.

Tuesday, January 2nd

Tuesday was dead. This is even though I was given a promotion by Instacart. It wasn't a good one, definitely not good enough to get me to accept more terrible orders like the one I had this Tuesday.

I made about $24.43/hr on this day.

I completed 1/6 orders, so I got nowhere near completing my promotion for extra pay. There were no worthwhile ordres all day long. I started the morning off with a below-average order, but everything after that was poor.

Wednesday, January 3rd

Wednesday was another slow day, but not quite as bad as Tuesday. This was my first day not having a promotion in almost a week. I wasn't expecting a ton of orders but hoped I'd get a few.

I made about $13.75/hr on this day.

Both of my orders on Wednesday were for people I had shopped for before but hadn't in a long time. Both are very easy to deal with customers who tip above average.

Thursday, January 4th

Thursday was my best day of the week so far, but it somehow was more disappointing than the previous two days. This is mainly because I failed to complete a promo yet again due to low order volume.

I made about $40.05/hr on this day.

The morning order I did was for a new customer of mine. I guess he wasn't used to having a fast shopper like me. Timothy said he had never had anybody get his groceries to him as quickly as I did.

All I needed to do was complete 5 batches, but despite having the app online from 10 am to 7 pm, I only completed 3. No matter if I have a promo, I'll never do orders that pay $10 to drive 20 miles. That would be insane and equals out to charity work. In reality, I only would have earned a $25-30 bonus from this promo, but it still would have been nice to claim. On to the next day, I suppose.

Friday, January 5th

Friday was extremely short-lived. I had another promotion, but I knew there was no way I was going to complete it. I had a massage appointment around noon and spent the morning at the gym.

I made about $42.10/hr on this day.

I only did one small order and then didn't get lucky enough to get anything else good during the afternoon. I called it quits around 5 and just told myself I'd reach my weekly goal with Saturday and Sunday's work.

Saturday, January 6th

Saturday turned out to be a solid day overall. I didn't get my first order until close to noon, but I had an order almost every hour after that until around 3 pm. I may have not hit my $100 daily mark, but I got close, and now all that is left is a good Sunday.

I made about $38.67/hr on this day.

One of the highlights of the day was this cute dog that I saw while delivering to an assisted living old folks home. The woman and her dog were a happy duo. I imagine that living alone as an elderly person is much easier when you have a dog for companionship.

You can even see he was happy to see me as his tail was mid-wag when I snapped the photo. Too bad I didn't get to pet him.

Sunday, January 7th

I thought I was going to be screwed on Sunday. I started with one decent order early in the morning, then sat and waited for 3 hours and got absolutely nothing. Thankfully I got blessed with a $55+ order which perked me up. Shortly after that, I ended the day early with another solid order.

I made about $41.86/hr on this day.

I love being able to get done early on Sunday because that means I have more time to go do other things besides work. It was much needed and a good way to start off 2024.

End of week hours and pay 🤑

My weekly pay was $346 and I worked just under 9 hours.

I made about $39.46/hr on average this past week.

Doing it again next week 👀

I'm getting closer to my one-year anniversary of doing Instacart. I hope that I can have one more major week before I reach Week 53. Stay tuned to find out how it goes for me.
