My opinion of DIRT 5 after 20 hours and finishing the career
It started and ended very well 👍
I'll go ahead and admit it, I got hooked on DIRT 5. I played it daily for about a week and it was well worth every hour that I spent bending corners and destroying my beautiful rides. Most of my gameplay was within the career mode. I finished every single race there was to offer, well besides the plentiful DLC options, which of course cost extra. There are a bit too many pop-ups to remind you that you can pay extra for more content. That is really my only gripe about DIRT 5.
Luckily I didn't feel the need to have more content. What I experienced in DIRT 5 was very enjoyable and more than enough for my racing needs. Outside of career is Playgrounds and Multiplayer, which both provide a nearly-endless amount of different things to play. Career is by far the best place to level up and unlock all of the new vehicles and customization options.
I received something new after pretty much every race. This kept me feeling like I was progressing and actually feeling a sense of reward. The car unlocks were pretty cool, but my favorite thing was all of the additional livery design options. The editor is pretty simple but still allowed me to make all of my cars feel like they were personalized.
I'd say there are about 40-50 different tracks to race on and each one can be played in reverse and have different weather. This kept the races from ever feeling repetitive. Plus playing on a higher difficulty like I did make me actually struggle to win at times. Whenever I did actually end up coming in first place, I felt like a true champion.
Straight up, the driving in the PS5 version of this game just feels so perfect to me. The DualSense had me locked in on all of the different terrains, plus the visuals are just so damn gorgeous. This is one of the best-looking and feeling racing games that I have ever had the luxury of playing. Finishing DIRT 5 has me extremely hyped to get my hands on another upcoming Codemaster's racing game GRID Legends that is coming at the end of February.
I know not everybody will agree with me on how great I think that DIRT 5 is, but I can say without absolute certainty that this game was such a lovely way to start my 2022 gaming life. I'm so happy that I finally got to add this game to my library.

:) back to D5! yea. I'm not a racing fan, but that game is cool. i also choose that dragon car, but again.. 69 car! that sure is a lot of races u did. get them 3 trophies.

Lots of racing, it was time well spent. I probably won’t play Horizon 5, but there is a new NFS game coming in fall of 2022.
