This man was born to play 🎹

I am excited to introduce to you today a video from the rhythm genre that you most likely have never heard of. The game I speak of is called Pianista. Picture Guitar Hero's not matching the style of play mixed with classical music and piano. This game is absolutely amazing and today I want to tell you how you can play it.

In my video, I am playing Pianista Invitation To Classical Music, which is the mobile phone edition of Pianista. This version is free to play and you can download it on iOS or Android by visiting https://www.superbcorp.com/pianista_mobile.html?lang=en. When playing the mobile version, you will rely on touchscreen controls, which work extremely well.

There is also another version that is available for Nintendo Switch. That one is called Pianista The Legendary Virtuoso. You can find the Switch version on https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/pianista-switch/ for $25. I have seen the game go on sale many times and I was able to get it for around $5 or $10 a few years back. When playing this version, you rely on the Joy-Cons to play.

Both versions of the game are a ton of fun and pretty similar, yet vastly different. With the Switch version, you do not have to pay extra to unlock more songs. Singleplayer is played using both Joy-Cons and you have a lot of notes with deal with on the highest difficulty level. There is also an Ensemble couch co-op mode which gives each player one of the Joy-Cons. The notes are cut in half and it just works so well. I enjoy Ensemble more than single-player.

The mobile version that I play in today's video is my personal favorite option for single-player Pianista action. The touch controls are a lot easier to master than the two Switch Joy-Cons.

Both games have around 20 or so different composers and plenty of scores from each one. A lot of this music is something you are probably more familiar with than you think. Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Bizet, Verdi, Vivaldi, Mendelssohn, Saint-Saens, Paganini, Handel, Schubert, Haydn, and so many more timeless composers. These games are packed with content and it all plays very well.

Enough about the game through text, it is about time to watch my video if you haven't already. This will certainly be the best way for you to understand how amazing Pianista is. I hope this will inspire you to play it sometime. Classical music is definitely something that should be a part of everyone's lifestyle.

I'm a big fan of this game. Rhythm games like this one hold a special place in my heart. I'm sad to admit that I've still never played Beat Saber.

I love rhythm games. I wish that there was another guitar hero. Beat Saber is pretty cool. You should check out Pistol Whip. That one is basically a John Wick simulator with rhythm.

Never heard of Pistol Whip, will have to look it up.
You should definitely try Pianista out though. I’m curious if I’m actually really good at this, or if it’s easier than I imagine. Technical difficulty just feels so fast and I don’t think many can keep up with it.

Hey hey, this would be a game for me 🎹🎶🎶🎶 haha, but I am not a gamer:/
You played very well that Dvorak Humoresque... just a few mistakes :D I would go crazy as my hands would go differently, the muscle memory would dictate me another thing.

Oh, Debussy's Bergamasque Suite IS difficult in real too :)

I had fun watching this video, a good way one can get more familiar with compositions from classical music field, but at the same time a game that gives the same adrenaline hahaha 🎶

By the looks of your name, this indeed would be the game to get you into video games. Looks to me like you are seasoned with piano, games wouldn't do much for you probably. I wish that I knew how to play piano, but sadly a video game is as far as I have gotten. Luckily this game is a lot of fun and lets me feel like I can play classical music. It never gets old listening to this style of music. Looks like I can now count on your posts to enjoy some fantastic piano music. Thanks for finding me!

I see you found out about my profession :)

I was doing a bit of curation with music and classical music tag and that is when I saw your post, being surprised by the title of it: Trying out Pianista. That is how I found you! Hive has some cool ways of connecting people from different corners of this blue planet!

I know, there was a similar game, maybe a simple kind of it (sorry, I really dont know much about games, hehe) Piano Tales, as some of the students showed me proudly how they know to play piano playing that game 😇 It had a good impact too, as they learned some tunes that later asked for to learn in real piano version too. I was pleased how they found about some Bach or Mozart, Tchaikovsky compositions playing a game. Not bad, right? :))
