A qué me sabe el éxito [ESP-ING]
El éxito, una palabra que se encuentra asociada al logro después de una “lucha”. No sin razón las historias de éxito nos relatan todas las peripecias, esfuerzos, trabajos que hace una persona o comunidad para alcanzar sus metas y cuando llega a ella hablamos de éxitos.
En la mitología griega el éxito está simbolizado en la diosa de la victoria Niké, seguro que te resulta conocida por la marca emblemática deportiva y es que una de las primeras imágenes que nos sirven para apropiarnos del concepto, éxito, nos los proporciona la competencia deportiva y el contexto militar, de allí que la medalla Olímpica tenga a Niké, la diosa, como símbolo.
Como dato curioso Niké tiene tres hermanas y siempre están juntas: “ Zelus (Rivalidad), Cratos (Supremacía) y Bia (Fuerza)” Ver, que no nos quede duda, toda historia de éxito, está rodeada de estas tres deidades lo que nos lleva a suponer que el éxito se mide en función del otro, del que dejas atrás, para alcanzar la supremacía.
La cultura occidental ha fomentado la mentalidad de éxito basada en esta supremacía sobre el otro, ejemplo de ello es que quizás en más de una ocasión escuchaste la famosa frase en boca de tus abuelos o padres: Estudia para que seas alguien en la vida, como si ya por el solo hecho de existir no fuese alguien, pero no se trata de eso, tienes que estudiar para que no seas como los demás, para que sobresalgas, seas diferente y exitoso.
En la escuela la competencia se hacía más fuerte con una calificación, podías alcanzar el más alto nivel y ocupar un lugar en el cuadro de honor. En la universidad el asunto pasa de fuerte a duro y comenzamos porque desde que ingresamos sabemos que iniciamos, literalmente, una “carrera” donde los mejores serán reconocidos con menciones especiales. Y no hablemos del campo laboral, donde el empleador tenderá a escoger, lo que, para él, sea el mejor.
En esta descripción se sustentan mis creencias de éxito y he aquí mi credo: creo en la meritocracia, creo que quien hace el mayor esfuerzo para ser cada vez mejor en su área se gana el título de exitoso, creo que los retos nos hacen ser más exigentes con nosotros mismos; creo que la mayor y mejor competencia no es medirse con el otro sino con uno mismo, creo que una mentalidad de éxito se construye potenciando mis talentos, lo que me gusta y motiva y desde allí cualquier logro que obtenga me hace exitosa.
El éxito, aun cuando podemos encontrar definiciones muy concretas su sabor es completamente subjetivo, cada quien lo percibe desde las construcciones que ha elaborado a lo largo de la vida, lo que si pudiésemos afirmar, que es igual para todo, es que el éxito tiene un sabor sabroso, vivificante, vibrante que produce emociones de alegría, euforia, contentura, satisfacción y que por lo general queremos compartir ese éxito, ese logro con las personas que queremos y apreciamos.
Esta mañana, antes de comenzar a escribir el post, fui a revisar la comunidad @beentrepreneur para comentar un artículo, que publicó anoche, la amiga @denisssemata. En él me encontré con una hermosa y significativa frase que me permite ilustrar este tema del éxito.
No importa de qué tamaño sea el logro, cuando tenemos una mentalidad exitosa hasta el más pequeño de los logros lo valoramos, nos emocionamos, encontrando en él motivación para seguir adelante y enfocado en hacerlo cada día mejor. Para mí, eso es el éxito.

What success tastes like to me
Success is a word that is associated with achievement after a "struggle". It is not without reason that success stories tell us about all the ups and downs, efforts, works that a person or community makes to reach their goals and when they reach them we talk about success.

Western culture has fostered the mentality of success based on this supremacy over the other, an example of this is that perhaps on more than one occasion you heard the famous phrase in the mouth of your grandparents or parents: Study to be someone in life, as if by the mere fact of existing you were not someone, but it is not about that, you have to study so that you are not like others, so that you stand out, you are different and successful.
In school the competition was stronger, with a grade you could reach the highest level and occupy a place on the honor roll. In the university the matter goes from strong to hard and we start because from the moment we enter, we know that we start, literally, a "career" where the best will be recognized with special mentions. And let's not talk about the labor field, where the employer will tend to choose, what for him, is the best.
I believe in meritocracy, I believe that whoever makes the greatest effort to be better and better in their area earns the title of successful, I believe that challenges make us more demanding with ourselves; I believe that the greatest and best competition is not measured against the other but with oneself, I believe that a successful mindset is built by enhancing my talents, what I like and motivates me and from there any achievement I get makes me successful.
Success, even when we can find very concrete definitions, its flavor is completely subjective, each one perceives it from the constructions that have been elaborated throughout life, what we can affirm, which is the same for all, is that success has a tasty, vivifying, vibrant flavor that produces emotions of joy, euphoria, contentment, satisfaction and that we usually want to share that success, that achievement with the people we love and appreciate.
This morning before I started writing the post I went to check the @beentrepreneur community to comment on an article, posted last night, by friend @denisssemata. In it, I came across a beautiful and meaningful sentence that allows me to illustrate this topic of success.
No matter what size the achievement is, when we have a successful mindset even the smallest of achievements we value it, we get excited, finding in it motivation to keep moving forward and focused on doing better every day. For me, that is success.

Es cierto el éxito aunque subjetivo tiene en muchos casos la misma linea de pensamiento y se trata de llevar a cabalidad lo que nos trazamos como metas, me encanta de este post la referencia a la mitología.
