The friends of the Amazing Nature Community invite us to make a tour of our experiences during this year 2021 and they have entitled: YEAR IN NATURE, a work to remember the experiences of what has impressed us so much, we have focused our camera to retain and share that moment and it is also appropriate to thank that nature that amazes us in its details and its magnanimity. Here I share my experience.
January
In my city, Maracay-Venezuela, January preserves some of the December light, the sky is clear, clean, clear and although the signs of drought are beginning to be seen, especially in the hills surrounding the city, still, the temperature remains cool at dawn and most of the morning.
I am always amazed by pictures like this, approximately 6 and ¼ o'clock in the morning and the moon refuses to go to its quarters, the bright and impatient sun claims its spaces.
My daily walking route is generally the same, so any change that occurs catches my attention. That morning, with sadness I saw that a ficus had been cut down but my astonishment was to be able to see in its trunk a family embrace, moreover, perhaps because of the recent passage of Christmas what I really perceived was the nativity, I found it beautiful, it is as if they, the trees, needed that affective warmth and to give each other protection, it is touching.
February
February is bright and dry. The hills towards the lower part of the city have lost their greenery, in and near the lagoon the natural life continues its rhythm. I love taking pictures in this area, the reflections are so sharp that you can spend a long time in ecstatic contemplation and thinking that what you are seeing is immaterial always gives food for thought.
March
Already the sky begins to be covered with a whitish blanket, the calima, product of forest fires and other environmental pollutants, it is difficult to see a clear sky or clouds doing their pirouettes. However, a sun setting its first rays over the hills is a beautiful moment to enjoy.
This year has been benevolent. Rain has been present in all months, during the dry period it has been scarce, however, the soils have maintained some humidity and there were no major fires.
April
The rainy season began, the general comment is that it was early and we really appreciated it, although it is always present in the issue of climate change because it seems that nature is changing its cycles, it seems that it is the so-called "El Niño phenomenon" that comes to us as a tail.
The truth is that the city was filled with flowers and I was amazed by beauties like these. Walking and coming out of a curve you find the apamates in bloom is something really beautiful.
Variety of colors, aromas, shapes, it is like an enchanted landscape.
May
Now the rain is in full force, every afternoon it rains in abundance, often bringing negative consequences to the population. Nature feels grateful: the hills begin to turn green, the birds make nests everywhere, the small and graceful mushrooms wake up, the trees give their harvest, here, among the most common we find: the mango in many varieties and the avocado.
The foliage becomes shiny and abundant.
And sometimes it gives the impression that it wants to cover everything.
From May onwards the days become favorable for long walks, so we did not miss the opportunity to visit a stone with hieroglyphs that is located in an area close to where I live. It is the Hery Pittier National Park. Once you get there and get out of the forest area you go into the hill and about an hour later we found the stone.
The place seems magical to me, I can only imagine those men and women walking these hills and wanting to leave a record of their passage through this world.
June
June is a month full of curiosities and beauties that never cease to surprise you. This wild flower that I know in pink, yellow, fuchsia, lilac, I had never seen it in two colors, I feel that day I received a gift. And this caterpillar with its light turquoise blue is a promise.
July
A walk along one of the creeks in the area after a night of heavy downpour and that are on the route of my daily walk. Today looking at the photo, I fix my attention on that vaporous image to my left, it looks strange - what could it be? Well, whatever it was didn't disturb me at the time and even less so now, so let's move on.
That day there were several trees fallen by the force of the rain, I love the rain because it is a water that enlivens nature, however, sometimes I fear it, its strength and persistence is not always positive.
August
The sky is still overcast, especially in the early morning and late afternoon, and my banana plants are giving me clusters.
I find at every step delicate details like this creeping vine of tomaticos that decided to grow on a high stone wall, as if saying: -Yes it can be done!
September
A trip to the city center was ideal to enjoy the shadows that these trees offer, being under them gives me a pleasant feeling of well being, looking at their shapes catches my attention and it seems to me that they always want to tell us something.
For example, this tree, which is in the same square, merged with the fence as a sign of resilience, of not leaving me and claiming my spaces.
Or as in the following image that tells us something like: -There is no one to stop me-A rock so strong and powerful, the root with its slow advance has been fragmenting it. When I took this picture, in May, in the walk I mentioned, I was so impressed that I baptized it with a romantic name, it describes it very well: "sleeping inside you" Hahahaha. Seriously, isn't it amazing, how nature speaks to us and teaches us?
October
October brings us colorful sunrises, deep blue skies that invite us to the beach and outdoor walks. The city feels peaceful and my beloved lagoon is always ready to be captured. From my position, I see the herons in their moment of stillness and sharing and its waters moved with immense softness by the cool breeze. No wonder so many poets are inspired by this amazing nature.
And me, wanting to capture guacharacas and all the birds that come to my house, but nothing, the camera, no matter how many orders I give it, doesn't help.
November
Another walk to the center of the city, this time to the Bolivar square, a place full of charm for the showiness of its nature, a space for recreation, rest. An oasis. Maracay has high temperatures and this square with its immense trees is a blessing, it used to be said that plants "humanize" cities, no, no, they do not humanize them, they fill them with life and beauty, they make them cozy and livable.
November also brought us sunsets full of nuances, amazing skies that leave you ecstatic and you say to yourself: -I am glad you have learned to be with your little camera up and down, so that no beautiful vision escapes you.
December
I took these photos this morning on the hike. Something spectacular, amazing, shocking? It depends on who looks at it and how they look at it, because you only need to look at nature with a little bit of love to feel that all of it is amazing.
I have enjoyed this work to the fullest. I exceeded a little in the number of photos, only when I just finished, I reread the guidelines and I realize that there were 12 photos. Thanks to @adalger and the #amazingnature team for these initiatives and I take the opportunity to invite friend @irvinc and friends @devania and @belkisa758.

Los amigos de la comunidad Amazing Nature Community nos invitan a hacer un recorrido sobre nuestras vivencias durante este año 2021 y que han Titulado: AÑO EN LA NATURALEZA, un trabajo para recordar las experiencias de aquello que nos ha impresionado tanto, que hemos enfocado nuestra cámara para retener y compartir ese momento y también es oportuno para agradecer esa naturaleza que nos asombra en sus detalles y en su magnanimidad. Aquí comparto mi experiencia.
Enero
En mi ciudad, Maracay-Venezuela, enero conserva algo de la luz decembrina, el cielo está claro, limpio, despejado y aunque ya se comienzan a ver las señales de la sequía, sobre todo en los cerros que rodean la ciudad, todavía, la temperatura se mantiene fresca al amanecer y buena parte de la mañana.
Siempre me asombra estampas como esta, aproximadamente, 6 y ¼ de la mañana y la luna se niega irse a sus aposentos, el sol brillante e impaciente reclama sus espacios.
Mi ruta diaria para caminar, generalmente, es la misma, por lo que cualquier cambio que ocurre llama la atención. Esa mañana, con tristeza vi que habían talado un ficus pero mi asombro fue poder ver en su tranco un abrazo familiar, es más, quizás por el paso reciente de la navidad lo que realmente percibí fue la natividad, me pareció hermoso es como si ellos, los árboles, necesitaran ese calor afectivo y darse mutuamente protección, es conmovedor.
Febrero
Febrero es luminoso y seco. Los cerros hacia la parte baja de la ciudad han perdido su verdor, en la laguna y cerca de ella la vida natural sigue su ritmo. Me encanta tomar fotos en esta zona, los reflejos son tan nítidos que puedes pasar mucho rato extasiada en su contemplación y pensar que lo que estás viendo es inmaterial siempre da para la reflexión.
Marzo
Ya el cielo comienza a cubrirse con una mantilla blanquecina, La calima, producto de los incendios forestales y otros contaminantes ambientales, es difícil ver un cielo despejado o nubes haciendo sus piruetas. Sin embargo, un sol posando sus primeros rayos sobre los cerros es un bello momento para disfrutarlo.
Este año ha sido, benevolente. La lluvia ha estado presente en todos los meses, durante el periodo de sequía ha sido escasa, sin embargo, los suelos ha mantenido alguna humedad y no hubo grandes incendios.
Abril
Comenzó el periodo de lluvia, el comentario generalizado es que se adelantaron y realmente lo agradecimos, aunque siempre está presente en tema del cambio climático porque pareciese que la naturaleza se encuentra cambiando sus ciclos, más parece que es el llamado “fenómeno el niño” que nos llega como coletazo.
Lo cierto es que la ciudad se llenó de flores y no dejaron de sorprenderme bellezas como estas. Ir caminando y al salir de una curva encontrarte con los apamates en flor es algo, realmente, hermoso.
Variedad de colores, aromas, formas, es como un paisaje encantado.
Mayo
Ahora si entró la lluvia de lleno, todas las tarde llueve en abundancia, muchas veces trayendo consecuencias negativas a la población. La naturaleza se siente agradecida: los cerros comienzan a reverdecer, las aves haciendo nidos por todos lados, despiertan los pequeños y agraciados hongos, los árboles dan sus cosecha, acá, entre los más comunes encontramos: el mango en muchas variedades y el aguacate.
El follaje se vuelve brillante y abundante
Y en ocasiones da la impresión que quiere abarcarlo todo.
A partir de mayo los días se hacen propicios para las largas caminatas por lo que no perdimos la oportunidad de visitar una piedra con jeroglíficos que se encuentra en un área cercana a donde vivo. Se trata del Parque Nacional Hery Pittier. Una vez que llegas a él y sales de su zona boscosa te adentras en el cerro y como a una hora encontramos la piedra.
El lugar me parece mágico, solo me pongo a imaginar a esos hombres y mujeres recorriendo estos cerros y queriendo dejar constancia de su paso por este mundo.
Junio
Junio un mes lleno de curiosidades y bellezas que no dejan de sorprenderte. Esta flor silvestre que la conozco en rosado, amarillo, fucsia, lila, nunca la había visto de dos colores, siento que ese día recibí un regalo. Y esta oruga con su azul turquesa claro es una promesa.
Julio
Un recorrido por uno de los riachuelos de la zona después de una noche de fuerte aguacero y que están en la ruta de mi diario caminar. Hoy viendo la foto, fijo mi atención en esa imagen vaporosa que se encuentra a mi izquierda, se ve extraño —¿Qué será? Bueno, lo que haya sido no me perturbó en su momento y menos ahora, así que sigamos.
Ese día hubo varios árboles caídos por la fuerza de la lluvia, amo la lluvia porque es un agua que vivifica la naturaleza, sin embargo, en ocasiones le temo, su fuerza y persistencia no siempre es positiva.
Agosto
El cielo sigue encapotado sobre todo en las primeras horas de la mañana y al final de la tarde y mis matas de cambur regalándome racimos.
Encuentro a cada paso detalles delicados como esta enredadera rastrera de tomaticos que decidió crecer en una alta pared de piedra, como diciendo: —¡Si se puede!—
Septiembre
Una ida al centro de la ciudad fue ideal para disfrutar de las sombras que estos árboles ofrecen, estar debajo de ellos me produce una agradable sensación de bienestar, mirar sus formas atrapan mi atención y me parecen que siempre quieren decirnos algo.
Por ejemplo, este árbol, que está en la misma plaza, se fusionó con la reja como una muestra de resiliencia, de no me dejo y reclamo mis espacios.
O como en la siguiente imagen que nos dice algo como: —No hay quien me detenga—Una roca tan fuete y poderosa, la raíz con su lento avance la ha ido fragmentando. Cuando tomé esta foto, en el mes de Mayo, en la caminata que comenté, me impactó tanto que la bautice, con un nombre algo romanticón, la describe muy bien: “durmiendo dentro de ti” Jajajaja. En serio, ¿No es asombroso, cómo la naturaleza nos habla y nos enseña?
Octubre
Octubre nos brinda amaneceres coloridos, cielos con un azul intenso que invitan a la playa y a los paseos al aire libre. La ciudad se siente apacible y mi apreciada laguna siempre dispuesta a ser captada. Desde mi posición, veo las garzas en su momento de quietud y compartir y sus aguas movidas con inmensa suavidad por la brisa fresca. Con razón tantos poetas se inspiran en esta asombrosa naturaleza.
Y yo, queriendo captar guacharacas y todas las aves que llegan a mi casa, pero nada, la cámara por más ordenes que le doy no ayuda.
Noviembre
Otro paseo al centro de la ciudad, esta vez a la plaza Bolívar, un lugar lleno de encanto por la vistosidad de su naturaleza, un espacio para la recreación, el descanso. Un oasis. Maracay tiene altas temperaturas y esta plaza con sus inmensos árboles es una bendición, antes se decía mucho que las plantas “humanizan” las ciudades, no, no, no las humanizan, las llenan de vida y belleza, las hacen acogedoras y vivibles.
Noviembre también nos trajo atardeceres llenos de matices, cielos sorprendentes que te quedas extasiada y te dices: —Que bueno que has aprendido a estar con tu camarita para arriba y para abajo, que no se te escape ninguna visión hermosa.
Diciembre
Estas fotos las tomé esta mañana en la caminata. ¿Algo espectacular, asombroso, impactante? Depende de quién lo mire y cómo lo mire, porque a la naturaleza solo hace falta mirarla con un poquito de amor para sentir que toda ella es asombrosa.
He disfrutado este trabajo al máximo. Me excedí un poco en el número de fotos, solo cuando recién termino, releo las pautas y me doy cuenta que eran 12 fotos.
