The Cocuizas

Last Friday I visited Las Cocuizas, an area that gives entrance to the Henri Pitier National Park on the north side, located in the city of Maracay, Aragua State - Venezuela.

Las Cocuizas from Monday to Friday is a haven of peace, on weekends it has more movement of people, especially in the dry season, the heat prevailing in the city makes many families visit it to enjoy the coolness offered by the river and the large trees that inhabit it.

In this opportunity I believe that the park rangers, my family and I were the only ones who were delighted with its quietness. The opportunity was propitious to take pictures. Today I present some pictures of the river, which although its flow has decreased a lot because we are already in the middle of the dry season, its waters do not stop and the vegetation maintains its greenness with great intensity on the edges of the river.

Las cocuizas

El viernes pasado fui de visita a Las Cocuizas, una zona que da entrada al Parque Nacional Henri Pittier por su lado norte, ubicado en la Ciudad de Maracay, Estado Aragua - Venezuela.

Las Cocuizas de lunes a viernes es un remanso de paz, los fines de semana tiene mayor movimiento de personas, ya que, sobre todo, en la época de sequía el calor reinante en la ciudad hace que muchas familias lo visiten para disfrutar del frescor que ofrecen tanto su rio como los grandes árboles que lo habitan.

En esta oportunidad creo que los guarda parques, mi familia y yo éramos los únicos que nos deleitábamos con su quietud. La oportunidad fue propicia para tomar fotografías. Hoy les presento algunas del rio, que aunque su caudal ha bajado mucho debido a que estamos en plena época de sequía, sus aguas no se detienen y la vegetación mantiene su verdor con gran intensidad en los bordes del rio.
