SMALL BUT SCARCE SILVER COINS: 1/2 bolivar (REAL)
good day lovers of gold and silver in #hive I hope everything goes well for you today, here showing some coins that although their condition is not the best these are very scarce despite their size, they are 1/ 2 bolivar small coins but scarcely a year old
many of the coins of venezuela when they are scarce are almost always somewhat large but in this case it was not so, of these only 500,000 were minted, which were already scarce, unlike the previous and subsequent years
Of these at the moment I have only gotten these two, one better than the other in terms of condition but even so they are worn without much relief but even so if you get to see them it is better to buy them
its characteristics are the following:
Denomination ½ bolívar
Year 1944
Period United States Venezuela (1879 - 1952)
Type of coins Coins in circulation
Silver Alloy 0.835
Fluted Edge
Circle shape
Currency Alignment (180°)
Weight (g) 2.5
Diameter (mm) 18
minted 500,000 (scarce)
and here I end this informative post with some small but a little difficult to get silver coins from Venezuela, I hope you like it and if you see one do not hesitate to buy it

500k is a low mintage in any country, much harder is to find any that are lightly or not circulated at all and would have to pay a much higher numismatic premium for.
if so, 500k is not interesting about these is because of the size, generally when they are scarce from times after 1900 they are 10 grams of silver or more, in this case each one has 2.5 grams, luckily they were cheap but not They are in good condition, I hope to get better ones.
Hard to find?
Congratulations for finding them!
yes, a little unlike the 1945 coin of the same value, 6 million were minted if I remember correctly, but these from the year 44 are somewhat difficult
I think Minting just 500,000 is a good strategy as it helps to reduce the scarcity and help even to drive the value up
I think the reason for low mintage is due the population at that time, it was around 4.45 million, which mean 1 coin per 9 persons.
But, anyway it indeed a rare find, all the best buddy. gracias.
