Week 38 in the Discovering Abilities series. We are slowly approaching the end of a series that is unveiling the gameplay of each and every ability available in the @splinterlands universe. For this week's review I'm going to use a level 2 legendary card. This week's review is about Strengthen and the water deck legendary Baakjira. Let's get to it. Let's get started.

Semana número 38 en los análisis de la serie Discovering Abilities. Nos acercamos, poco a poco, al final de una serie que nos está descubriendo la jugabilidad de todas y cada una de las habilidades disponibles en el universo @splinterlands. Para el análisis de esta semana voy a utilizar una carta legendaria a nivel 2. Llega el análisis de Strengthen y la legendaria del mazo de agua Baakjira como protagonista. Vamos a por este análisis. Comenzamos.

Legendary card with three special abilities at level 2. Baakjira is not a card that I have in my water deck, but it is one of the cards that I usually rent in those times or days when I have more time to play. It's a very interesting tank, although it has the handicap of having no attack, but it makes up for it with a very high vitality and special abilities that add an important bonus.

Carta legendaria y con tres habilidades especiales en su nivel 2. No es Baakjira una carta que tenga propia en el mazo de agua, pero si es una de las que suelo alquilar en aquellas épocas o días en las que tengo más tiempo para jugar. Es un tanque muy interesante aunque tiene el hándicap de que no tiene ataque aunque lo compensa con una vitalidad muy alta y unas habilidades especiales que le añaden un importante plus.

La habilidad Strengthen la aportan nada menos que 23 cartas. Un número realmente elevado. Eso si, 9 de esas 23 cartas son legendarias por lo que, salvo excepciones, deberemos tener cierto nivel en nuestros rosters para poder poner en juego Strengthen en nuestras batallas. Los mazos de agua y tierra, con cinco cartas cada uno, son los que tienen mayor número de cartas con la habilidad Strengthen.

Esta habilidad aparece hasta en 22 cartas. Además de Mitica Headhunter es una habilidad que tienen otras dos cartas del mazo verde, una de ellas edición Gladius. El mazo de agua con cuatro cartas y el neutral con cinco son los mazos más beneficiados con Snare entre sus cartas.

Strengthen is a very interesting skill. Its playability is to increase the vitality of all cards in the line-up In those battles where we complete all six cards it will add up to six points to the overall vitality of our line-up. In ideal conditions this ability can make an interesting difference and give us the victory in those battles that are evenly matched and that are marked by small details such as this improvement that Strengthen brings.

Strengthen es una habilidad más que interesante. Su jugabilidad es la de aumentar la vitalidad de todas las cartas de la alineación. En aquellas batallas en las que completamos las seis cartas nos sumará hasta seis puntos a la vitalidad global de nuestra alineación. En las condiciones ideales esta habilidad puede marcar una interesante diferencia y darnos la victoria en aquellas batallas que sean igualadas y que son marcadas por pequeños detalles como esta mejora que aporta Strengthen.

The example battle using the Strengthen skill is going to pit me against @zashi91. My strategy will be to place Baakjira as a tank and take advantage of his Strengthen ability to give vitality to the whole line-up and with Djinn Oshannus and Deeplurker as the key cards to tear the opponent's line-up apart.

La batalla de ejemplo de uso de la habilidad Strengthen me va a enfrentar a @zashi91. Mi estrategia será colocar a Baakjira como tanque y aprovechar su habilidad Strengthen para dar vitalidad a toda la alineación y con Djinn Oshannus y Deeplurker como cartas clave para ir destrozando la alineación rival.

Despite my opponent being a powerful summoner like Lir Deepswimmer, my strategy was good enough to take the victory with relative ease. Baakjira delivered with his special abilities and tanking allowing time for Tide Biter, Djinn Oshannus and Deeplurker to deliver with their powerful attack, slowly but surely killing off the opponent's cards.

A pesar de tener mi rival un poderoso invocador como es Lir Deepswimmer, mi estrategia fue lo suficientemente buena como para llevarme la victoria con relativa facilidad. Baakjira cumplió con su aporte de habilidades especiales y de tanque permitiendo tiempo para que Tide Biter, Djinn Oshannus y Deeplurker cumplieran con su poderoso ataque liquidando poco a poco a las cartas del rival.

Strengthen is an interesting skill. And the more cards we put in our lineups the more interesting and the more impact it has in combat. El aumento de vitalidad que aporta a toda nuestra alineación puede marcar la diferencia entre una victoria y una derrota. Además, en el caso de Baakjira, su aporte como tanque hace que, en el mazo de agua y en condiciones de mucho maná de invocación, la estrategia Baakjira + Strengthen sea una opción más que interesante. Strengthen receives a score of 7 out of 10 in this week's review. As I said at the beginning of the analysis, Baakjira is not part of my roster, but I must also say that my medium-term planning includes getting this whale at level 2.

Strengthen es una habilidad interesante. Y cuantas más cartas pongamos en nuestras alineaciones más interesante y más impacto en combate tiene. El aumento de vitalidad que aporta a toda nuestra alineación puede marcar la diferencia entre una victoria y una derrota. Además, en el caso de Baakjira, su aporte como tanque hace que, en el mazo de agua y en condiciones de mucho maná de invocación, la estrategia Baakjira + Strengthen sea una opción más que interesante. Strengthen recibe una nota de 7 sobre 10 en el análisis de esta semana. Como te decía en el comienzo del análisis, Baakjira no forma parte de mi roster, pero también debo decir que en mi planificación a medio plazo está incluido el hacerme con esta ballena a nivel 2.
