Share your Battle - Pelacor Arbalest [EN - ES]
This week it's the turn of the life deck and one of the cards that gives me the most contradictory feelings.The power of Pelacor Arbalest is undeniable However, it's a card that I don't really like. Maybe one of the reasons is that the life deck is not one of my favourites and I haven't stopped to analyse the deck calmly and carefully. So, I'm going to take advantage of this week's Share your Battle to analyse Pelacor Arbalest and continue improving my understanding of this deck, whose gameplay has been completely changed by the arrival of General Sloan. Let's get started.
Turno, esta semana, para el mazo de vida y una de sus cartas que sensaciones más contradictorias me produce. El poderío de Pelacor Arbalest es indudable. Sin embargo es una carta que no termina de gustarme. Quizá uno de los motivos es que el mazo de vida no es de mis preferidos y no me he parado a analizar el mazo con calma y detenimiento. Así las cosas, voy a aprovechar el Share your Battle de esta semana para analizar Pelacor Arbalest y seguir mejorando mi comprensión de este mazo al que la llegada de General Sloan ha cambiado su jugabilidad por completo. Comenzamos.
PELACOR ARBALEST
THE CARD
Pelacor Arbalest is a rare card from the Chaos Legion edition of the Life Deck. An edition that, led by General Sloan in this life deck, has completely changed this unique deck. It has a ranged attack for two points of damage and has a summoning cost of six points. It also has two points of speed and two points of life. What makes this card valuable is the ability it has at its first level: Double Strike. You know, it attacks twice every turn so it can deal four points of damage per round.
Pelacor Arbalest es una carta rara del mazo de vida y perteneciente a la edición Chaos Legion. Una edición que, liderada por General Sloan en esta mazo de vida, ha cambiado por completo este singular mazo. Cuenta con ataque a distancia aportando dos puntos de daño y tiene un coste de invocación de seis puntos. Además tiene dos puntos de velocidad y, también, dos puntos de vida. Lo que hace que esta carta tenga su valor es la habilidad que tiene ya en su primer nivel: Double Strike. Ya sabéis, ataca dos veces cada turno provocando así que pueda aportar cuatro puntos de daño por ronda.
Its playability is evident from the fact that it is a ranged-attack catrtack. It has to be played in the last positions of our line-up. It's high attack power means that, in order to perform well, it must be very well protected so the last position is not ideal for Pelacor Arbalest either. Its six summoning points and the fact that it is a ranged attacking card makes it ideal for games with medium to high available summoning mana, making it counterproductive to use in low mana battles.
Su jugabilidad es evidente siendo una catrtacon ataque a distancia. Hay que jugarla en las últimas posiciones de nuestra alineación. Su alto poder de ataque hace que, para que rinda, debe estar muy bien protegida por lo que tampoco la última posición es la ideal para Pelacor Arbalest. Sus seis puntos de invocación y el ser carta con ataque a distancia hace que su ámbito ideal sea el de partidas con un maná de invocación disponible medio-alto siendo contraproducente su uso en batallas con poco maná.
THE PELACOR ARBALEST'S STATS
The Double Strike ability is what makes Pelacor Arbalest an interesting card. Without this ability it is a very poor card due to its high summoning cost and low 2 health. At level five he gains the ability "Fly" which can give us a bonus by increasing the chance of dodging attacks and becomes useful in earthquake battle conditions as he becomes immune to damage from this condition. At its last level it has three attack points, which becomes six, three speed points and an important five health points.
La habilidad Double Strike es lo convierte a Pelacor Arbalest en una carta interesante. Sin esa habilidad es una carta muy deficiente por su alto coste de invocación y sus escasos dos puntos de vida. En el nivel cinco obtiene la habilidad "Fly" lo que nos puede dar un plus al aumentar la posibilidad de esquivar ataques y pasa a ser útil en condiciones de batalla con terremoto ya que pasa a ser inmune a los daños producidos por esta condición. En su último nivel cuenta con 3 puntos de ataque, que pasan a ser seis, tres de velocidad y unos importantes cinco puntos de vida.

THE BATTLE
Just yesterday I rented enough power to finish the season in Gold III, so I can start this afternoon to fight and get rewards in Silver without going through the hell of going out of Bronze every start of the season. So, the example battle is one of my first experiences in Gold fighting with a life deck that I have undeveloped and with cards that I hardly use. So the bet went well and I got an unexpected victory in which the performance of Pelacor Arbalest was important to get this victory against @ellamaedt647. This was my approach to get this win.
Ayer mismo alquilé el poder suficiente para acabar la temporada en Oro III y, así poder comenzar esta misma tarde a pelear y obtener recompensas en Plata sin pasar por el infierno que es salir de bronce cada inicio de temporada. Así las cosas, la batalla de ejemplo es una de mis primeras experiencias en Oro. Pelea con un mazo de vida que tengo sin desarrollar y con cartas que apenas utilizo. Así las cosas la apuesta salió bien y conseguí una inesperada victoria en la que la actuación de Pelacor Arbalest fue importante para conseguir esta victoria ante @ellamaedt647. Este ha sido mi planteamiento para conseguir esta victoria.

An unimproved life deck with a few starter cards versus a life deck with a summoner at level three, full of gold cards, but still suffers an unmitigated defeat. My strategy was more successful and gave me an important victory, proving that Splinterlands isn't all about having the most developed deck A simple deck, used well, can be competitive in gold-level leagues. I was very happy with my strategy and with the performance of some of the cards in my line-up, such as Pelacor Arbalest.
Mazo de vida sin mejorar y con algunas cartas starter frente a un mazo de vida con invocador a nivel tres, plagado de cartas doradas y que, a pesar de ello, sufre una derrota sin paliativos. Mi estrategia fue más acertada y me dio una importante victoria que demuestra que en Splinterlands no todo consiste en tener el mazo más desarrollado. Un mazo simple, bien utilizado, puede ser competitivo en ligas de nivel oro. Muy contento con mi estrategia y con el rendimiento de algunas de las cartas de mi alineación como, sin ir más lejor, Pelacor Arbalest.
CONCLUSIONS
This week's challenge has been really useful. It has forced me to think, analyse and study the life deck and my cards in the life deck in detail. Many of my doubts with this deck in general and with Pelacor Arbalest in particular have been solved. The conclusions are that it's a very interesting card but it has very specific playability conditions battles with high mana summoning where you can surround Pelacor Arbalest with cards that can protect it from the first enemy attacks and it can do a lot of damage before being eliminated.
El reto de esta semana ha sido realmente útil. Me ha obligado a pensar, analizar y estudiar de manera detallada el mazo de vida y mis cartas en dicho mazo. Muchas de mis dudas con este mazo en general y con Pelacor Arbalest en particular han quedado solventadas. Las conclusiones son que es una carta muy interesante pero que tiene unas condiciones de jugabilidad muy concretas. batallas con alto maná de invocación en las que puedas rodear a Pelacor Arbalest de cartas que puedan protegerla de los primeros ataques enemigos y pueda hacer mucho daño antes de ser eliminada.
