When I was very small, there were so many ideas that were coming through my mind. And one of the most dominant ones was to become a pilot. I wanted to become a pilot back then.

I've always been infatuated with how planes flew and stuff like that. And there are other dreams too that I've had back then that I love a lot. Also, whenever I watch so many movies back then of how pilots fly through storms and everything to land either soldiers, army, or anyone.

It's so infatuating and stuff like that. I didn't have the idea of how planes were made, but I just like it for what it is. And there were so many childhood toys that is in line with planes and stuff like that.

But as I look back right now, a lot of things have changed. Dream did not really come to pass, but I'm close. What I'm saying is that even in my secondary school days, I still wanted to be a pilot.

But one thing led to another and there was no aeronautical engineering school in Nigeria. Also, the only one that existed was military aeronautical schools. And even the militaries were still sending people outside the country to steal trains and stuff like that.

So that was what happened. But looking at it now, I think life is still good. I don't have the vocabulary to back a lot of things up, but I was curious.

I so much like technology and I'm still fascinated by movies. Whenever I watch movies and there are all these high technologies that were used and stuff like that. I'm still fascinated by them a lot, even to date.

And that's very interesting for me as a person. Also, I want to say that another thing that carries me on is the idea that if you have a dream about something, it's not a must that that dream will be what you will stick to for the rest of your life. Or it can be an inspiration towards another thing or you can still come close to that dream.

Or that dream will still be yearning in your heart and you still want to pass it to the next generation. It happens with so many of our forefathers. Many of them, I mean, hundreds of years ago were not educated.

I mean the generation of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers. But they saw the effect of being literate and being educated. So they've already accepted fate that, okay, I might be too old to go to school, but my children will surely go to school and they will learn how to be educated, read and write and communicate perfectly in a very good environment.

So they invest in their children, send them to school and do all the necessary that should be done. So I'll bring this into what I'm trying to say is that even if we cannot afford to live that dream, we can still put efforts to make sure that the dream doesn't die. And it still resides inside the family, either in children or even the person that has the dream come closer to it.

Then make more effort for the next generation to become better in that area. So instead of flying planes now, I'm flying automations and websites. That's just what I wanted to say.

Today I spent a lot of time experimenting WordPress, websites and AI, trying to learn and know the best and the latest that is in vogue. Technology can humble you if you are not careful. And you might think that you have a grip of things until you own API and just start messing up a lot of things that you are doing.

There is no big difference between my childhood dream and now. Why? It's because I'm still in tech and I still read any document that goes with space, aeronautic engineering and stuff like that. So even if I can't become that pilot that I've always dreamed to be, I can still deliver.

I can still do well. I can still make a very good meaning of my life in so many ways. And I'm still close by.

Sometimes childhood dreams are supposed to give us a clue about what our life is. It's not necessarily a profession that should be pursued at a must. The clue there was I want to be in tech.

And I want to create things. I want to make sure things work. And now I use my laptop to make all these things work.

The job title changed. The tools changed. But the person who wanted to build the things was always and will always be there.
