Lessons i learnt from the Rainy seasons and my Take (I.A.A.C #330)

Hello and welcome to my page hiveans. I'm @daniky, and this is day 330 of my entry to #IAmAliveChallenge, an initiative by Eric Gustafsson, @flaxz.

I'm alive and thankful to my Maker for the gift of life despite the ticks and thins. All i have been is by God's mercies and grace.

I had a great and busy day as usual. Though the weather is gradually becoming so dried as there's less humidity in the sky. We're at the entry point of the harmattan season here in Abuja. Some untared roads are becoming so dusty as the wind blows day by day while the rainy times has ceased. Such is life.

Life is seasonal. The rainy season looked like it'll never stop, but now, it's history. This year's rain was accompanied by a great deal of adverse winds and thunderstorms. Many people were rendered homeless during the heavy winds, while many were displaced. Flood took over many territories in places like Abeokuta, Kogi state, Abuja, and many other states and regions in Nigeria. The stormy wind was more like a tonado. People living in skyscrapers and storey buildings were scared to their nerves, thinking the stormy wind would break down their storey buildings since it was mostly the order of the day as many buildings were collapsing. There was fear and pandemonium almost in all nooks and cranny within the city of Abuja as this year records one of he highest rainfall and thunderstorms ever.

Though many died due to the strange rainy experiences, some were injured as well. This, on its own, wasn't a good experience. One important prayer we should pray is for the souls of those deceased due to one the past natural disasters or the other should rest in peace, and let's also be cautious of our environment as well. It is often said that "experience is the best teacher" and i partly agree with such statement. I believed if those victimised by the thunderstorms and heavy rain could have a second chance to decide where they wanted to live, they would rather decide to change yo a more secured environment. So, when renting an apartment, ensure it's well-built, safe and affordable. Put many things into consideration before residing in any area. Ensure there is adequate drainage in such an area to avoid flooding during the rainy season and be sure it's a safe area as one needs to be security cautious as well.

No one prays for flood or inconveniences. As we keep growing we learn never to make the mistake others made in their past. I believe this knowledge will definitely save us any heartache and headache.
