Hola amigos de Hive, espero que estén teniendo un hermoso fin de semana. El día de hoy tuve una aventura increíble en el Jardín Botánico de Cali, Colombia. He estado escribiendo sobre los lugares turísticos que tiene esta encantadora ciudad, ya que es una de las ciudades con mayor diversidad de flora y fauna en toda Colombia. Aprovechando que estoy viviendo en esta bella ciudad, decidí escribir un poco sobre los hermosos lugares que ofrece.
Hello Hive friends, I hope you are having a beautiful weekend. Today I had an amazing adventure at the Botanical Garden in Cali, Colombia. I have been writing about the touristic places that this charming city has, since it is one of the cities with the greatest diversity of flora and fauna in all of Colombia. Taking advantage of the fact that I am living in this beautiful city, I decided to write a little about the beautiful places it has to offer.
El Jardín Botánico está ubicado en la carrera 2 oeste número 21-121 y tiene un clima característico del bosque seco tropical. Ofrece espacios rodeados de diferentes especies de plantas y busca fomentar la educación y el aprendizaje sobre la flora. El jardín está abierto de jueves a domingo, de 9 am a 5 pm, y tiene un costo muy económico para ingresar.
The Botanical Garden is located at carrera 2 oeste number 21-121 and has a climate characteristic of the tropical dry forest. It offers spaces surrounded by different species of plants and seeks to promote education and learning about the flora. The garden is open Thursday through Sunday, from 9 am to 5 pm, and has a very economical cost to enter.
Fue inaugurado en el año 2001, pero aproximadamente en 2018 fue cerrado debido a problemas. Después de 5 años de intenso trabajo para su recuperación, fue reinaugurado.
It was inaugurated in 2001, but in approximately 2018 it was closed due to problems. After 5 years of intense work for its recovery, it was reopened.
Cuenta con más de 190 especies vegetales, de las cuales 49 se dieron naturalmente. Tiene unas diez estaciones que conforman un recorrido de 2 kilómetros, aunque no todas están totalmente habilitadas aún. También cuenta con tres senderos que ofrecen una paz increíble y te conectan plenamente con la naturaleza.

Some species in the garden are part of a specialization plan for dry forests and ecosystems. In addition to hiking, relaxing and reading, the garden also offers the opportunity to connect with nature, as it is home to medicinal, aromatic and food plants.
En el centro del jardín, especialmente en la plaza central, se encuentra un mirador de 4 pisos que ofrece una vista impresionante, construido con madera de ecualyptus y mucho hierro, proporcionando como resultado esta vista espectacular. Cerca del parque central, hay una zona de cactus que me gustó bastante, ya que hay muchas especies bien conservadas, algunas de las cuales pueden alcanzar hasta los 18 metros de altura, con tallos increíbles en forma cilíndrica, plana o en forma de globo.
In the center of the garden, especially in the central plaza, there is a 4-story gazebo that offers a breathtaking view, built with ecualyptus wood and lots of iron, providing as a result this spectacular view. Near the central park, there is a cactus area that I quite liked, as there are many well preserved species, some of which can reach up to 18 meters high, with incredible stems in cylindrical, flat or balloon shape.

Es un lugar encantador para pasar un día agradable ya sea con amigos, familia o simplemente para disfrutar de un libro o meditar. Al comenzar la caminata por el sendero, se pueden apreciar lindas aves y diferentes tipos de árboles que brindan una agradable sombra, vistas y el agradable canto de las aves. Además, tiene espacios muy bonitos para hacer increíbles fotografías. It is a lovely place to spend a pleasant day either with friends, family or just to enjoy a book or meditate. At the beginning of the walk along the trail, you can see beautiful birds and different types of trees that provide a nice shade, views and the pleasant singing of birds. In addition, it has very nice spaces to take amazing pictures. I went with two friends to distract us a bit and the colorful landscape inspired us to take some lovely pictures.
