The Highs And Lows Of My First Year As A Cloth Designer

It's been one year since I took the plunge and became an entrepreneur. And what a year it's been! I've experienced some incredible highs and some low lows. I've had days where I've felt like I can conquer the world and days where I've wanted to hide under the covers and never come out.
Looking back on my first year as a cloth designer, there were a lot of highs and lows. Overall, I'm grateful for the experience and lessons I learned, even though it was tough at times.

One of the biggest challenges I faced was learning how to sew. I was never very good at sewing by hand, so I had to invest in a sewing machine. It was a lot of trial and error at first, but I eventually got the hang of it.

I also had to deal with a lot of rejection. I applied to over two dozen cloth design competitions and only got accepted into two. It was really discouraging at times, but I kept trying and eventually found some success.

All in all, it's been a rollercoaster of a ride. but I'm looking forward to the next year. I'm grateful for the experience. It's been a steep learning curve, but I've grown a lot as a person and as a business owner. I've learned that the key to success is to keep going, even when things get tough.

The Importance Of Surround Yourself With The Right People

One of the most important things you can do as an entrepreneur is to surround yourself with the right people. This means people who will support you, challenge you, and push you to be your best. It's so important to have these people in your life because they will help you reach your goals and achieve your full potential.

What I’m Looking Forward To In The Coming Year

As an entrepreneur, there are always new challenges and opportunities around the corner. I’m looking forward to several things in the coming year, including:

-Building more my business: I’m always looking for ways to grow my business and reach new customers. In the coming year, I’m hoping to expand my business into new markets and launch some new products or services.

-Meeting new people: One of the best parts of being an entrepreneur is meeting new people. I’m looking forward to meeting new clients, collaborators, and customers in the coming year.

-Learning new things: I’m a lifelong learner, and I love learning new things. In the coming year, I’m looking forward to learning more about my industry, my customers, and myself.

Los altibajos de mi primer año como diseñador de telas

Ha pasado un año desde que di el paso y me convertí en emprendedor. ¡Y qué año ha sido! He experimentado algunos altibajos increíbles y algunos mínimos bajos. He tenido días en los que sentí que podía conquistar el mundo y días en los que quise esconderme debajo de las sábanas y nunca salir.

Uno de los mayores desafíos que enfrenté fue aprender a coser. Nunca se me dio muy bien coser a mano, así que tuve que invertir en una máquina de coser. Al principio fue mucho ensayo y error, pero al final le cogí el tranquillo.

También tuve que lidiar con mucho rechazo. Apliqué a más de dos docenas de concursos de diseño de telas y solo me aceptaron en dos. Fue realmente desalentador a veces, pero seguí intentándolo y finalmente encontré algo de éxito.

Con todo, ha sido una montaña rusa de un viaje. pero estoy deseando que llegue el próximo año. Estoy agradecido por la experiencia. Ha sido una curva de aprendizaje empinada, pero he crecido mucho como persona y como propietario de un negocio. He aprendido que la clave del éxito es seguir adelante, incluso cuando las cosas se ponen difíciles.

La importancia de rodearse de las personas adecuadas
