A Relaxed Weekend with Meow Meow and Ba Du

It must be said that time goes by so fast, the weekend comes in just a blink of eyes. The weather today is beautiful after days of heavy rain. Our small family decided to take a walk together for a change of atmosphere to Hoa Trung Lake, a sizable reservoir to the northwest of Da Nang. The most excited member on this trip is probably not me, but Meow Meow and Ba Du - 2 special 4-legged members of my family.

Our house is about 16km from Hoa Trung lake. The special attraction here is the lake surrounded by small natural oases. There are also green and flat grasslands that are very suitable for picnic activities or overnight camping by the lake. In the summer, we also often come here to paddle sup and camp overnight. At the end of October like now, the weather is quite wet and rainy, so it will be more suitable for sightseeing.

The road from home to Hoa Trung lake was quite easy, so we chose to ride a motorbike. If you have a dog at home, you probably know that all of our gestures and actions are observed by our dogs. As for my dogs, just by looking at them, they can tell if they're about to be taken out. And just hearing the "go go go" signal, the two little guys jumped on the motorbike immediately with extremely eager faces.

After 30 minutes of leisurely driving, we reached our destination. Yahoo! only our family came here today.

Ba Du always goes first and goes quickly, as if he wants to explore all of this lake. Meow Meow is more timid and often walks close to my or my husband's feet. We often joke that Meow Meow is "wise at home, foolish at market", which means that at home, she is very agile, but outside she is shy like a mouse. 🙂

The lakeside area has grassland as wide as a vast steppe. Sometimes we even see cows eating grass. Interestingly, next to each cow there is a stork or two. I still wonder about that, or do they prefer to be friends with each other? Unfortunately, I was fast enough to capture that moment, because the sound of the motorbike startled the storks and flew away. 🙂

When we arrived, parked the motorbike and took off the mask, I closed my eyes and breathed in the air slowly - a feeling so refreshing that words can't describe. At that moment, I was filled with a feeling of peace and happiness.

After a week of work, I usually spend at least 1 time with nature, that's how I get back to my body and mind balance. "Mother Nature" always does a great job of helping me restore my energy.
