I don't know if it is g rated movie or something else but the first thing that came to my mind was this movie, lion king. I'm guess everyone of us must have seen this movie.

Can't remember the year I actually watched this movie but I should be between the age 4 to 6 and it still remain my favourite movie till date, Simba would have been my pet name if I ever get one but I wasn't Chanced.....
