To clarify this will mean that the amount of new Bitcoin being created in the Block Reward will be cut in half from 900 BTC per day, to 450 BTC per day.

There are 1,339,194 BTC left to be mined, and after these 26,694 have been mined before the halving, there will only be 1,312,500 BTC left.

At the new rate of 450 per day, the next four years will see 657,000 BTC mined, leaving just 655,500 BTC remaining to be mined for the next century
