Vintage Photos - eBay Set #2 (278-281)

I made some impulse buys after getting a new scanner and picked up a huge batch of slides a while back. These pictures span from as early as the late 1940s to as late as the early 1990s. These were from Goodwill and eBay (sometimes via estate sales). There are many thousands of these slides. I will be scanning some from time to time and posting them here for posterity.

This set continues a batch of slides that I bought on eBay a while back. I don't have as much to go on as to the ultimate origin of these compared to the previous batch I was working on. They came to me from eBay and most likely were picked up at an estate sale by the seller. Most of them seem to be taken in the 1960s and same individuals are included in many of the photos. It looks like there are some that were taken in Miami and some that were taken in New Jersey and perhaps elsewhere. I get the impression that Miami was a vacation spot for this family.

The first three photos in this set were all processed in June 1969, however, they don't appear to have been taken at the same time. The first features what looks like an anniversary celebration of an older couple. There was at least one other photo from this even in previous sets and I was guessing this was a 50th anniversary celebration. The next photo shows a couple carving a turkey (my grandparents had an electric knife just like that only green). In the U.S. at least, a whole turkey is most commonly cooked at a holiday such as Thanksgiving or Christmas but there's nothing to indicate if that is the case here (other than the turkey). The third photo shows the man featured throughout many of the photos from this batch with a younger guy that I assume is a visiting Grandson.

The last photo does not have a date but like all the others would have been taken in the mid to late 1960s. The flash apparently didn't go off in this shot but it is a shot from another kitchen with preparation (or cleanup) of another meal. Those might be Christmas lights off to the right but I can't tell for sure.
