See the previous post in this series here.

Starting with this post, I'm trying to pare down the repeated text a bit more. I think the background info is important for some context though so I don't want to get rid of it completely. For a few more background details you can check out the post linked above or earlier posts in the series.

I made some impulse buys after getting a new scanner and picked up a huge batch of slides a while back. These pictures span from as early as the late 1940s to as late as the early 1990s. These were from Goodwill and eBay (sometimes via estate sales). There are many thousands of these slides. I will be scanning some from time to time and posting them here for posterity.

This set continues a large batch of slides that originally came from an estate sale and appear to have belonged to a locally well known photographer from the Spokane Washington area named Leo Oestreicher, or perhaps a friend or family member of his. These slides contain some landscape and portrait photos but also a lot of typical snapshot photos. Here's an article on him from 1997 which is the only info I have found on him: http://www.spokesman.com/stories/1997/jan/04/photos-of-a-lifetime-museum-acquisition-of-leo/

Many of these slides had the date they were processed stamped or printed on them. In most cases these photos were probably taken relatively near the processing date.

The first three photos in this set appear to be from church youth group event. They were processed in December 1963 and appear to have been taken on the same day (based on clothing). In a previous set with these same individuals, there was a slide labeled "Knight for Christ - scavenger hunt" so they appear to be part of the same event.

The last photo was processed in May 1972 and is labeled Toledo. I'm guessing Toledo, Spain. Based on a Google image search, this looks like it might be the Alcantara Bridge in Toledo, Spain. Also known as Trajan's Bridge at Alcantara, it was originally built in between 104 and 106 AD by order of the Roman emperor Trajan so this is one old bridge. To be fair, it has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times over the centuries, mostly as the result of war.
