Greetings Brethren, hope everyone is doing good. Today I'll be sharing the lessons I learnt on the course of my engagement in the MCGI prayer meeting held last night being the 26th day of May.

Nonetheless, the prayer meeting was spearheaded by Brother Daniel and Brother Rodel while Brother Daniel took the lead as he expounded the following scriptures, discussing about doing good to our fellow men while in possession of this world's good.

James 2:13, 1 John 3:17-18, James 2:16-17, 2 Thess 3:10, Eph 4:28, Eph 4:4-6, 16, Act 2:44, 1 Tim 5:16, 1 Cor 12:21, Heb 10:24, Matt 3:16, 1 Pet 2:10, James 2:13.

James 2:3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:(KJV)

We are encouraged not to be partial in our dealing with our fellow men although it is not inherent in man to act without favor as it could only take a man with the nature of God to act like God.

Partiality is a norm and a day to day activity in our cosmos but we have to deal with it even as the Bible has directed. Even in the home, most parents would have shown either their son or daughter to be their favorite match while paying lesser attention to the other and we could also see this in the life of Isaac and Rebekah in Genesis 25:28 where Isaac loved Esau because of his venison while Rebekah's love fell for Jacob, but this shouldn't be so as we saw the aftermath of the whole event if not for divine intervention, Isaac's home would have been an incomplete abode. So we are to treat everyone equally and fairly.

1 John 3:17-18 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.(KJV)

The emphasis in this scriptural reference is all about the love of God which is the Agape love. This love is absolutely against the love of man because the love of man is all about give me and I'll give you, if you help me, I'll help you.

The Love of God is pure and perfect. It doesn't discriminate it doesn't take ones social status, race, outlook etc into consideration but rather, it treats everyone fairly and equally.

We are encouraged to help people based on our capacity as God has provided for us. Compassion has a padlock and we are to unlock our padlock of compassion to everyone.

We are to show compassion to all and never loving people just with the words of our our mouth when we have what it takes to assist them if probably they came seeking for assistance from us.

God wants us to love our fellow men by assisting them in the possible way we could and this I have observed in both the MCGI virtual and offline community, may God bless MCGI. I have followed carefully through this community's offline engagement and saw the mighty work of benevolence they are rendering to humanity I'm not saying this for personal gain or even to create any impression of eulogy but this is a reality I have observed in all sincerity.

The emphasis on the scripture according to James 2:16-17 was still on helping our fellow men. Apostle James admonished the believers to help while it's in their possession to do so.

On the other hand, unless we don't have what it takes to assist others but so long as we have the good of this world, let us do our best to help in our little ways.

We are to give food if food is needed and we have possession of it. We need also to show hospitality when it's needed etc and not to tell people well-done when God has given us the substance with which to assist them.

2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.(KJV)

We are encouraged to work even as believers. We shouldn't expect God to provide all our needs by bringing them to our houses like the Raven brought food to Elijah in 1 Kings 17:6. The provision of our needs depends on our ability to do the little things God has given us the strength to do.

But there are people who are handicapped, these set of people really needs our assistance each day unless we don't have what it takes to assist them but so long as we could assist them, let's do so as to be approved by God and this' I have asked God to bless me so it can help others.

We have to realize that at a point, the brook must go dry so we have to follow God as he leads because He wouldn't permit us to go hungry as He is always making provision for our needs despite its magnitude.

Also in Ephesian 4:28, we are advised to work and not to steal from others because somebody that has given himself to work has the ability to replicate substance over and over again but when we are lazy, we will turn indigent and then have nothing to assist others with. So it's very important that we give ourselves to labor so we can help others also.

In Ephesians 4:4-6, Apostle Paul reminded the believers that we are one in Christ, in other ways, we have to see one another as one and never to discriminate from each other.

Also in Act 2:44, we are reminded of how the early Christians had everything in common. In other ways, no one considered his property as his own but it was meant for the good of all.
So we believers have to see one another as one and never discriminate.

In 1 Timothy 5:16, believers are encouraged to take good care of the widows in their homes and not to leave the burden again to the Church since the Church has a broader burden. In this regard, it is imperative that everyone has something doing so as to assist in the Church, homes and other spheres of Life.

Finally, in James 2:13 is a clarion call for us to show mercy unto everyone and never to treat others without pity. When we love and show mercy to people, God will also show mercy to us because we do offend him in certain ways that we might even assume that we were right in them.

So let's love take the lead in our cosmos and it will make a better place for all men.

Conclusion

We have to realize that all men are equal before God and so we must treat everyone according to the parameters set by God whether they are rich or poor.

We have to love others without discrimination whether they are of our tribe, race, social status etc or not.

Treating others with mercy will also attract divine mercy on us as the scriptures cannot be broken.

Everyone should work and never steal from others as God has commanded us. It's also imperative we work as to have something to assist others with.

God bless MCGI community and everyone in collaboration with the move of the gospel in this regard. Thank you for going through my publication for today bye and 💗
