Hello Brethren, hope we are all doing great. I bless God for partaking in today's mass indoctrination program where Pastor Eli stretched on different areas of the scripture to our edification but specifically, I learnt a lesson from his message on living responsibly.

I successfully joined about 9 min on the course of the meeting because of the poor network connection in my area.
Nonetheless, Pastor Eli expounded his teaching through the following scriptures:

Isaiah 28:8,13, Luk 22:27, I Cor 10:21, Philemon 1:21, I Cor 14:37, Isaiah 1:29, Num 30:2, I Cor 9:5, Act 18:18, Eccl 5:2,4, II Cor 9:7, II Cor 8:3 Mark 12:41,42, I Cor 16:1-3, Rom 15:26, Phil 4:15-17, Act 4:36-37, Act 5:1-5, Jer 30:19, Heb 13:15-16, Psalm 50:23, Psalm 116:17-18, Col 3:15, I Thess 5:18, Rom 1:21, Exo 23:14, Matt 6:2-4, James 1:27, II Cor 9:13, II Cor 8:20-21, II Cor 12:14-15.

Isaiah 28:8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.(KJV)

This was a prophecy against the scornful rulers, men, priest and prophets in Jerusalem who had deferred their integrity to drinking.

We are to live our lives responsibly since the eyes of the lord is over everyone. Pastor Eli talked about how Pastor Perez instructed him not to get into alcoholism as a preacher which he adapted, and he never tasted drinks that contains even a percentage of alcohol.

In Luke 22:27 Jesus admonished his disciples while they were arguing of who was the greatest among them. He told them that the greatest among them should be their servant and for him, He has been to them as one that is a servant.

We have to live to our responsibilities despite the offices we are holding, we have to humble ourselves and serve in the other of our calling. I must congratulate the MCGI community for their great deal of humility and service to the church and humanity which shows the level of responsibility in the Church.

Philemon 1:21 Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.(KJV)

This scripture was written on account of the issue that erupted between onesimus and his servant Philemon who ran away and later became a co worker with Paul in the Faith.

Paul told onesimus to lay the charges of Philemon's offence on him (Paul) based on the confidence he had on Philemon which shows that Paul was a responsible Christian. Onesimus on the other hand was also a responsible Christian whom Paul believed would agree with him in accepting Philemon as a fellow believer and no longer a servant who has been orientated in the rightful way.

The issue of vows

Pastor Eli also expounded on the need of believers fulfilling their vows as he cited the following scriptures.

Numbers 30:2 If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.(KJV)

In this regard, we are advised to also live up to our vows and promises. If we have bound ourselves with vows, we must try to live up to it and never defer even as expressed in Act 18:18 where Paul shorned his hair on account of his vow.

Pastor Eli also referenced how the Catholic priests would just study to become priests which was not actually a pvow unto the lord but just a system of learning they have been through that qualifies them as priests in who wouldn't marry.

In verse 5 of I Corinthians chapter 9, Paul opined that there is nothing wrong in taking a sister for wife but based on the intensity of his calling, he decided not to marry as it will be a distraction for him in the ministry.

Issue of giving

This phase of the message gave me a serious concern as a believer and I actually learnt a lot from here.

1 Corinthians 16:1-2 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.(KJV)

Christians are advised to give willingly and not out of compulsion and I understood that even thiet should be something of willingness and not something of compulsion although I do thiet most times and to me, it's all a free giving offering.

In Act 4:36-37, the Bible talked about Joses who sold his land and brought the money to the Apostles for the work of the ministry, and this was not out of compulsion from the Apostles but rather a free will offering from him.

We are not compelled to give for the Lord's
work but we are to give with a free mind as to receive blessings from the Lord because God loves a cheerful giver.

Pastor Eli talked about how he has funded the work of the gospel and how he had also used the church offerings in visiting the poor and also spreading the gospel with so many other good works he never wanted to disclose to the audience.

Finally in James 1:27 we were shown what pure religion is, which is; to visit the fatherless and widows, and to keep oneself unspotted from sin.

I would be drawing the curtain here as I believe you learnt something from our zoom meeting. I implore everyone to join in this program as it has what it takes to build our spirit man to godly standard.

God bless all the instruments he's been using to bring such teaching to our edification Amen, bye and 💗

Thanks, for your contribution over this issue. I really agree with you that leaders are meant to serve which is why they're called leaders.
