Along the River

IMG_20231016_144309_Original.jpeg

Making my way along the river, enjoying the views, watching the Canadian Geese, and the odd canoer, finally made it to this nifty bridge. One thing I love about walking under a bridge is the intricate architecture patterns and on a clear day, those magnificent reflections off the clear blue water! Love it. At about this point in my “nature walk” (or should I call it a hike?), I was about two hours in, my intention for today was about a two hour outdoors experience or so. Time to turnaround or cross the bridge and circle back. Over the bridge I went, kind of fun in its own way you might say. The views from mid-point of most bridges seems to offer decent views. Always something to look forward to, and this one did not disappoint.

Not disappointing at all.

Bridges are fascinating things for so many reasons, be it architecture, history, bridging political divides or whatever. Quite envious of the canoeist you saw, as I’m a kayaker myself and have travelled under a few delightful bridges over the years.

Great light, editing and fantastic to hear your story.

The next best to being the photographer under the bridge, would be the canoeist or kayaker paddling under the bridge. Thanks @nicklewis.

I like the mono version of the bridge better, it accentuates the criss cross in the reflection. Great photos.

I can’t disagree with you on this. Love both genres. Thanks @emma-h2.

Yeah mate, for sure.. those reflections are dope! I can't see the canoer, though. Wait, maybe I can.. is that the little red thingy in the shadow under the bridge?

Canoer already passed by, missed the shot. It was on the far side, if it was on this side, then that would have been a done deal.

I think I may have worked it out lmao.. that red thingy has a reflection. I'm now guessing graffiti on the bridge?

Awesome shot's, that first one is dope. I call them all hikes, even though sometimes its just walking. I captured some cool shot's of Canadian Geese yesterday, with them chasing each other etc. First time I've seen them do something haha

Yeah, usually they just meander around seemingly doing nothing. Thanks @shoemanchu.
