Amazing Skies
Sometimes the most amazing things can be found in the sky, and not on ground level. The first photo was captured as we headed toward the “Abandoned Lake”. Now as cool and menacing as the clouds looked, we were still bound and determined to get to our destination, no matter what the weather told us (it was however a sort of unsettling feeling, but who would want to turn back after coming all this way?). The second photo is a snapshot of the skies above our abandoned lake. I decided to post the black & whites first, as it gives them more of an eerie and dangerous feel. The third photo is an extra capture from our trip from Athabasca falls to Sunwapta falls, Jasper Park. Which is your favourite? Did I make the right decision in publishing the monochromes first? #####

The first one looks awesome, but a bit scary.
Yes it was scary.
I know God speaks through the sky and the heavens. I wonder what he is telling us? Beautiful images. Thanks my friend.
A storm cometh, maybe.
I like those monochromes, looks like a hurricane Hannah
Thanks
The clouds looks so beautiful even in black and white.
Thanks
Definitely! The first shot is powerful, the clouds look threatening, I would have been a little bit intimidated driving into the storm. Funny how color can change things.
The color looks a bit more relaxed not quite so terrifying Okay. Not terrifying at all. Just a typical day in Canada.
That’s why I love both genres of photography. Look at the how the mood can change.

The monochrome are great too, it's always good to have an extra comparison especially when you post the colored pictures too. I like the details to those blue clouds.
Thanks. Keep looking up.
Clouds make some of the best subjects. Nice shots!

That is for sure!
What a beautiful sky. The ones you took in black and white I liked; but the blue of the sky is incomparable.
Appreciate the compliments
Outstanding shots @daveks!
Thank you sir!
The skies are really amazing indeed. I absolutely agree with you, "sometimes the most amazing things can be found in the sky". I'm a cloud lover and love to look at the sky every time I go out...
I love all of your photos of the skies, so I can't choose which one is my favorite. Great capture, as always, my friend.
Thanks for looking, and mousey says hello by the way.
You're welcome! Oh! My dear Mousey! Please give warm hug to him for me.... 😍
Done deal.
A thousand thanks! 😊
