“Another World”

(Edited)

Sometimes hiking up in the mountains, feels like you are in “Another World”. Just look at the landscape! Could be on the moon, or maybe on mars. It certainly is the farthest thing away from the concrete jungle anyways. This is the hiking trail to Ptarmigan cirque. In some way, having no blue skies, and only overcast skies, really set the mood for this scene and the entire hike. Photos taken inside Kananaskis country, Alberta, Canada. On one fine Autumn day.

You ever make a jaunt down to Yellowstone? I know what you mean about the mountains feeling like another world, Yellowstone just amplifies that feeling. Maybe it's just the smell of sulfur in the air, but anyways, nice shots!

Yellowstone has been on my radar for sometime. Gotta renew my passport sometime and get down there. I know I’d love it for sure! Thanks.

When it was said that this entire mass of rock was underwater before casting doubt on the force exerted on the tectonic plates

Such amazing views! It's amazing terrain! Great shots of the larch trees against the glacial carved mountains. I kind of like the monochrome look in these, it just brings out the details so nicely.

We have mountains here, but they don't look like that. I have never been that close to a mountain that looks like a giant rock ! 😃

Very nice photos.
