Around Annette Lake

Making our way around Lake Annette, I did come across a few good photo ops. The smoky air created a bit of a hazy effect, which was interesting, but did not prevent enthusiasts from enjoying the lake water with their kayaks. A little bit of smoke should not ruin one’s ability to enjoy the wonderful outdoors. Can’t let minor obstructions get in the way of your summer vacation, right? I didn’t, neither should you. Photos taken inside Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada.

The mountains and water and the surroundings look amazingly beautiful. The water is very clear and you have taken beautiful photography.

Those are some great shots! I'm glad to hear some aren't deterred by the smoke and got out and enjoyed nature.

I don't know if you do it consciously or if it's pure photographic instinct, but that first photo with the horizon in the upper third and the transparent water in the foreground, breaks a lot of composition rules in an exquisite and eloquent way... It is a brilliant demonstration of good taste and photographic irreverence... Awwww and the second photo with that supreme curved vanishing point, undoubtedly a marvel!... I have always said, you are one step beyond the landscape and the scene, you print your particular signature on them!... Obviously, the black and white versions are also exquisite and enough to put a frame on and hang on the wall!... BRAVO!

That's an awesome reflection, turning the gray water to blue.

What a beautiful lake, like I said before perfect for kayaking and I see those of the same mindset out there doing the same! The smoke doesn't look too thick there so should have been a great day out at the lake. Always take advantage of time in nature while you can!

Great shots in color and B&W!

Good question. Probably under 150 feet, but am not sure.

I can see those enjoying their kayaks and then the pathway I think, for pedestrians and then look at the beautiful colour of the bottom. This should be the reflection effect.
