Avalanche in the Rockies

Look at this massive section of snow just hanging off the mountainside. Is it possible that it could all come down in an avalanche? Well, I am certainly no expert on this kind of thing, but it does appear unstable. Depending on the weather combinations, could be a ticking time-bomb. I would not want to be anywhere's close to this area. I will stay near the Bow river, far from this area!

Hi @daveks

Be careful with the snow covering the rocky hills, it's very prone to avalanches because it just sticks out. At any moment it would come down and hit all in front of him. Exactly, your attitude to stay away from there.

Btw, your photos are very good, the precision of the distribution of photo objects is proportional and represents the perspective of the viewer to see the landslide hazard as you convey.

Appears like it may drop, it's fairly vert. The only way I would go near is with a Cr450 & climb & try not to loop out.
