With the Lake O’Hara trip behind us, the next leg of our hiking experience took us back to Banff. This is Lake Minnewanka. Located about a hop, skip, and jump away from the Banff townsite. It turned out to be a super hot day for hiking, maybe a little too hot. The views certainly did not disappoint though. My goal for this hike was to go approximately half-way on the Aylmer Pass trail. It was already afternoon, and there wasn’t time to do the whole thing, and it was really really hot too!

Is all the water up there this color? Seems like it. What a beautiful view and lucky you get to split the hike into two delightful trips instead of one.

Some good came of it. Plus, the heat is a real exhauster!

Nice views.
