Canadian Rockies through the Lens of a Smartphone ~ Smartphone or Sony A7R III?

Which photo was taken with a smartphone, and which was taken with a DSLR? Can you tell the difference? And is that difference worth several thousand dollars? You be the judge! Photo taken out at the Incredible Moraine Lake, Banff Park, Alberta.

Nice shots

Based on the aspect ratio, the first one is taken with Sony, but based on the quality of the photo, I was about to say the second one.

In fact, the first one was taken with my smartphone. Hard to tell isn't it?

It's not big of a difference though.

Right. Makes one think twice about spending a boatload of $ on a dslr.

(Edited)

It’s difficult to say with such fine photos but I will guess the 1st photo was with a DSLR but the 2nd color one seems more natural so maybe that's the one. :)

The 2nd is in fact the dslr, hard to tell the difference isn't it?

It sure is. Maybe I should just get a better phone instead of lugging the camera around. :)

It is funner using the dslr though, the phone is just so fast and quick.
