Cascade Mountain

DSC07116.jpeg

Yesterday, we had Rundle mountain in the spotlight. Today, it is Cascade mountain’s turn. Arguably, Cascade mountain is more iconic than Rundle mountain. In fact, on any typical Banff postcard, one can see Cascade mountain somewhere on it. This mountain is also a popular challenge for hikers. It would be rated as difficult. Personally I have never hiked it before, and probably never will. Anything beyond a “moderate” is typically something I tend to stay away from. How about you? What is the most difficult hike you have done?

This mountain is somewhat similar to мount Rundle. Maybe the geometry in the image. Platform for acceleration from the bottom up to then jump.

What is the most difficult hike you have done?

I like walking in the mountains, but not the rocky mountains. I was once in the High Tatras. The impressions remained until now. Especially the view of the clouds from above. So. The view...wow, but the uphill climb was extreme. I'm not an extremist ;-)
Therefore, sometimes I go to the Carpathian mountains near me. They are lower and not so rocky.

I see, sounds very exciting. Someday I will have to stop on by, unfortunately will need to wait for that war to end though.

Truth be told, we did give it an initial exploratory go for a couple of hours, and confirmed that it would be quite a task to do it. Another day..
