Enter Hiker

DSC06179.jpeg

Enter if you dare. This was the final section of narrow canyon, completing the half day hike. What is beyond this dark entrance? Any wild animals there? Bears? Cougars? Axe murderers? Any bones…Guess I’m gonna find out very quickly what is through and beyond the entrance. I suppose the fact that I was all alone made this all seem so dramatic. Nothing really to be concerned about, as I still had one large canister of bear spray in my front pocket. I think that spray would stop or immobilize pretty much anything, unless the spray mechanism malfunctioned. Not likely right.

Very cool to see the ground like that. How the water just cut right through the stone.

I do most of my hiking, prospecting alone and it's always nerve racking getting into places like this. You ever get the feeling something is watching you? Had that happen a few times. Still here though!

Yeah, sometimes you are out walking and it seems to get very quiet. So you glance behind quickly, then keep walking..thank goodness for the bear spray ready to disperse at a moments notice. Maybe I ought to pack a knife too.

Looks very scary and attractive. I remember one I was in Sangadh valley where it was just 3 feet wide and 150 meter high mountain walls.

This looks good but scary as walking here is going to be a different experience

The fear usually goes away quickly after the first few minutes or so.

Oh, hello! These narrow paths have goosebumps running up my back. I see that and you know the first thing that comes to mind?

Looks like a great migration path for animals
Or any movement from here to there

Okay, I am over it, what did you see??!!

Ok, so I darted through the narrow narrow canyon. Fifteen minutes later I was through. In one piece. Luckily. No nefarious animal or human sightings. Success!

Thank God!! I've been worried about you!

No humans because the bear was hungry! You dodged a bullet! Or a bear!

Hi again @daveks - your photography is absolutely magnificent. What amazing hikes you seem to go on. I live in a beautiful part of the world too (Cape Town), but wow this is truly awe inspiring! Thanks so much for sharing.. I really do enjoy your photography - truly!

Thanks again for the kind support with my most recent post. I am truly grateful, as I'm starting from the bottom and would really like through hard work to be successful on hive as you appear to be.

Please do consider "following" my account as well, for I do plan to release lots of original literary nuggets to inspire the community from a thought provoking standpoint. I'd certainly could use and would very much appreciate your kind support going forward as well.

Thanks again mate and really look forward to going through more of your posts!
