Frozen (Unfrozen) Lake Louise

Looking out at Lake Louise it was still in an unfrozen state, but just to our right side was a completely frozen waterfall! How does that happen you might ask? Well I’m no scientist, but obviously a larger body of water takes longer and even much longer to freeze over than a waterfall. In the past I have walked on this lake when it was completely frozen over, which was in mid January (these photos were taken in November). I must admit, it is kind of an eerie feeling to be walking over an iced over lake Louise. Thanks for stopping by.
