Glacially fed Lake Oesa

DE924CB1-58AB-4ADA-9EF6-0623279E0DAF.jpeg

Standing behind Lake Oesa is Glacier Mountain, which feeds into the lake below. As the ice-cold melted glacier water runs down the mountainside, it collects “rock chalk.” Then as the light reflects off the water, it creates this beautiful turquoise colour. Similar to most glacially fed lakes. Located inside Yoho Park, British Columbia.

I never cease to be amazed at how blue the water is there! It's quite the marvel.

I love blue but that blue is a kind that touches right on the edge of having green in it but doesn't. I don't really even have a word for it... (and that is rare!) but it's quite majestic! Have a great night bro.

Love the turquoise water! Makes it look incredible and for some reason warm even though it’s probably frigidly cold lol

BC is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I always love the Cascades here in WA until I drive across the border heading north!
