Kool Kootenay River

DSC05795.jpeg

This is the “Kool” Kootenay river, as it flows southward near the 93 south highway, inside Kootenay National Park, British Columbia. Not only is this river cool to gaze upon, but heaven forbid you fall in and find out exactly how cold it really is! Mostly glacially fed water will be cold, cold, cold. Perhaps some kayaking would be a super fun experience around here or even a canoe. Don’t forget to wear a life jacket. Photos taken near the paint pots hiking area.

That's what I'm talkin' about. Koo Kolor water & you can feel the flow of the ocean.

I dont know man that river and a canoe reminds me of scenes of Deliverance. Not sure if that translates well up there but it was an iconic film from the 70s here and is still brought up from time to time 😊

One movie I’ve never seen, but am familiar with the title.

It actually worth watching for a 70s thriller. Only a couple bucks on YouTube. Good cast of Jon Voight, Burt Reynolds, and Ned Beatty. Quite iconic.

Lol nope only 109 minutes, but it does have dueling banjoes lol. I saw it first when I was like 10 years old. It is not a kid friendly movie 😲.

Yes, that would be the ideal time to go for a dip.

Friend @daveks it's quite a beauty the Kootenay “Kool” River, which according to you @ flows south near Highway 93 South, within Kootenay National Park, British Columbia. Such a distinguished river is a work of nature, worth visiting. Thank you for your visits to my posts. Successes.
