Kootenay River

The Kootenay river is one of the longest running rivers in North America. Spanning about 781km or 485 miles. Originating in British Columbia, Canada, and then winding southward into Montana, Idaho, and then back to British Columbia. It is considered a major tributary of the Columbia river. Wow, that is pretty amazing! Once again, a signature of our Canadian rivers is the beautiful turquoise colours, created from rock chalk suspended in the water, add in a little sunlight and wala!
