Looking Up

Looking up at Mount Baldy, as seen from the frozen Barrier Lake shoreline, Kananaskis country, Alberta. As you can see, a lot more detail than similar photos taken with the Huawei smartphone (obviously). Almost certain there a few mountain goats traipsing around the trees and rocks, such resilient little creatures they are.

Nice color on those, but looks like some rocks I had climbed in my amateur days.

There are a fair few peaks with that name, or something similar. There are several in Washington and Idaho.

Strange why they all have the same name.

This also comes to mind. I think old-timers were just lazy, and called a lot of things "bald," probably because it's an old word for barren rock as well as hairlessness.
